Super place to stay when traveling. All the staff are very very nice. Room and bathroom were very clean. BK is good every day. Price is great with very good value. Very quite after 10 PM. The Maids do a great job keeping the rooms clean every day.

I made a reservation after reading Tripadvisor reviews. After driving all day,I arrived after dark. The woman at the desk was very helpful and friendly. She pointed out the nice indoor pool, exercise room, and the breakfast room. They also had coffee, fresh fruit, and snacks in the lobby until 9PM.They had a computer for people like myself, with no laptop. The room was spotless, and very large, with a microwave and fridge. The breakfast was very good, with waffles, bagels, toast, sweet rolls, cereal, juice coffee, yogurt, etc. It was well stocked, clean, and had much seating room. The room was quiet(I do wear earplugs when traveling),and the bed was very comfortable. Before this trip,I seldom stay at motels, but I would rate this one as the nicest and best value of any I have stayed in.

Room Tip: I had a room in the rear away from the road, although the road is not heavily traveled.

I chose this property mainly to earn Best Western rewards points. After reading some of the reviews here, I was expecting a horrible property, but I was very pleasantly surprised. I would definitely stay here again, even if I did not earn rewards.

My room was immaculately clean. I was on the side of the hotel away from the entrance, fronting a creek, and I was not disturbed by noise all night.

I stayed here two nights. On the first (Sunday) morning, the hotel had both cold breakfast items and hot eggs / sausage. On the second (Monday) morning, only the cold breakfast options were available. The chef cooking the hot breakfast options the first day was very friendly, and seemed to genuinely want everyone to enjoy their meal.

I chose to stay in Hot Springs mainly because it is far enough away from Mount Rushmore, and the tourist traps that are nearby, that the town would draw an older crowd. I found this to be true (I was not disturbed by unruly children either night), but I was a little disappointed in the limited dining options available. Hot Springs has a nice downtown with several beautiful 1880s era buildings, but sadly many of the restaurants in town did not make it through the recession. Hopefully, when the economy recovers, Hot Springs will recover, too.

I would definitely choose to stay in Hot Springs again, because it is just twenty minutes from Wind Cave National Park, and not much further from Jewel Cave National Monument and Mount Rushmore, despite the limited number of restaurants. I would also gladly stay at this property again!

One final comment: some people here have said they felt this property was "overpriced". South Dakota has a very brief tourist season, so motels need to make as much money as possible during the three months when tourists visit, to cover their expenses during the rest of the year. Motels throughout South Dakota tend to be a little more expensive in the summer than similar properties in other parts of the country, because properties elsewhere are not largely empty for nine off-peak months.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the creek side of the hotel, not the parking lot side.

We stayed 2 nights and had good service here. The staff was friendly and helpful. The beds & pillows were comfortable. The room was clean. Pool area was clean. We liked the fact that it was adults only from 10pm-midnight. Great outside sitting area with a big yard! We did notice, however, that our room(a smoking room) did need some deep cleaning, as we saw "Irish lace" on the ceiling. Overall, great.

Located near downtown Hot Springs. One hour from Mt Rushmore. Grassy area outside with chairs for relaxing. No premade eggs here! Eggs and meats are cooked before your eyes and there a nice selection of breads, cereals, etc.

Our room cost was $150.00 including discount and taxes. It was located at the end of the building, and wi-fi didn't reach us. Very disappointing. The complimentary breakfast was underwhelming for a motel of this calibre. It was 90% sugar and carbs. Our room was clean, but we left realizing, with all the traveling we've done this summer, this was the most we paid and the least we got in return. The room didn't cool off very efficiently, either.

Room Tip: Check ratings/reviews online beforehand.
