Clean, but small room. Pets allowed for a $10.00/night fee. Lots of grassy area to walk pets which was one reason we chose this motel. Hallways on both floors very dark and dingy, although lighted. Security door at end of hallway would not lock. Someone had taped open the handle and lock. Didn't feel very secure about that. One ice machine in lobby. 4 vending machines. Coin operated laundry on-sight. No fitness center.
Room: Ours was a king size bed with a recliner, small desk and chair, 2 night stands, old style television with free HBO, coffeemaker, hairdryer, free WiFi. No refrigerator, no microwave oven, no iron and no ironing board. 2 lights in our room did not work. Small hole in wall where someone banged the recliner into the wall. Very sparse on towels and cheaply made. Also sparse on paper products in room.
Breakfast: Free, but skimpy. Toaster waffles, toast, cinnamon buns, (they were the only good thing), cereal, yogurt, bananas, juice, coffee, tea. No eggs, no meats, no oatmeal! Not much of a breakfast if you ask me. I've stayed at less expensive motels and had a much better spread of food!
This motel was not worth the price we paid. They're not far from Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse Memorial, so I guess they can command the price. I would not stay here again. It seemed as if the owner(s) were trying to provide the bare minimum at a high price. Next time, I would pay more to stay somewhere in Keystone. I would give it 1-to-2 stars out of 5.
