“Perfect!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2009

Our visit to this hotel was fantastic! We'd never stayed here before but were looking for a downtown hotel in Cincinnati. This seemed to be the best value. Our room was beautiful with very contemporary decor and a few extras, great view of the city. The location was great, just a block or so away from Fountain Square restaurants and shopping. The staff was extrememly friendly and helpful. I want to go back to Cincy just to stay at this hotel. The entire place is just beautiful.

when i arrived the desk clerk was very friendly and efficient with no wait to check in. since i booked on hotwire, i was afraid i would be assigned a less desirable room but they had assigned me a room on the top floor of the south tower, with a great view of the downtown area from the floor to ceiling windows. the bed was very comfortable. the hotel was not busy and the room and floor was very quiet. it was a great deal.

This hotel was excellent and I was extremely pleased with my stay. We arrived on the Friday before the 4th of July and the check in was busy, but moved along at a good pace and the staff was extremely helpful. Our rooms were very clean and quited. We were in an excellent location for restaurants, shops and to walk to the Red's game. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to business or pleasure!

The Milennium Hotel in Cincy is listed as a 3.5 star hotel, but that is completely inaccurate. Our first room had two inoperative phones, an inoperative tv remote, and a malfunctioning smoke detector that constantly went off for no reason. When we notified the front desk for an alternate room, we were placed into a room with a guest already in it FOUR TIMES. Yes, you read that right...on four consecutive trips to the front desk, the attendant gave my wife and me keys to a room that was already occupied.

The only positive happened after the fourth visit...the attendant, now completely and understandably humiliated, upgraded us to the executive level on the 29th floor, with a free breakfast and several other nice amenities. The problem with this hotel, however, is that the executive level rooms are only about the quality level of a normal 3.5 star hotel. There is simply very little to recommend about this property, outside of its proximity to Great American Ballpark.

Hotel has great downtown location. Room was in need of upgrading. Beds were old and uncomfortable, sheets had tears and were very worn. Faucet in bathroom was loose and hard to operate. Mold in shower. Staff was friendly but housekeeping staff needs to use their indoor voices when in the halls. Lots of yelling by staff in the morning telling stories to co-workers.

I just returned from the Millennium Hotel, and it left a lot to be desired. The location was great, but everything else was lackluster. It took approximately a half an hour to check in to the hotel, valet parking was full when we arrived, our bedspread had a hole that had been poorly mended, and everything seemed grimy and out of date. The AC unit in the room was very loud but did not seem to do a good job of regulating the room's temperature. It was humid one minute and then freezing the next. I was in town for the Flying Pig Marathon and was glad it was so close to the start line, but the Hyatt is just across the street and I will stay there next time.

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night. We received a great price through Expedia on this hotel($69). I would not recommend paying the full price on this hotel. It is not worth it. If you can't get a good deal, don't do it. The breakfast was $4.50 for cold cereal and $4.95 for fruit. We ended up receiving free continental breakfast vouchers from the front desk due to problems with the shower. The water went up to our ankles in the shower. The front desk staff was very quick to fix the problem and were very considerate overall. The valet parking people are very nice and helpful. They even suggested a place to find cheaper parking. Plan $22/night for parking. It is an extra $12 if you leave it after 1pm on your checkout date. It is a classic downtown hotel, nothing is cheap. The beds were very hard, but reasonable. We were on the 21st floor, and did not hear any noise. There were no bugs or mold. The bathroom could be improved. We were in town for the Reds-Mets series. It is a short 10 minute walk from the ballpark. The front desk charges $75 for incidentals when you check in. 3 charges apppeared on our bill. The room rate from Expedia, the $75 which has not yet been refunded and takes 10-14 days to refund they say, and $47 for the difference between the full price and the discount we were supposed to recieve from the Expedia sale. I would definitely not stay at this hotel if you are on a tight budget. There are many extra charges added on that are unexpected. It is good for 1 night if you are seeing the Reds, but I wouldn't stay much more than 1.
