We had a group of 8 for 4 nights at the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza while attending the Fraternal Order of Police National Conference. Even though the local area was overwhelmed by the massive conference the employees made the trip worth while. The management should take note that they have a really awesome staff on hand.
The hotel has a great lobby which I spent a lot of time just looking admiring the beauty of it. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The beds made for a good nights sleep. No real issues with the rooms or the bathrooms.
From this experience my family and I plan to return around Christmas and check out all of the local attractions.

Wireless internet is not complimentary in the guest rooms. It is in most any other hotel or chains across the country. Free wireless internet is available in the lobby but who wants to take their phone or laptop or tablet to the lobby to work.

Thank you for your feedback regarding our Internet policy. As you mentioned, we offer complimentary wireless Internet service from the lobby and in our business center in the lobby. At present, we are providing the lowest unbundled price on our system since many of our travelers do not utilize our Internet service. Our Internet pricing is comparable to that of our full service competitors in this market. Nevertheless, we regret that this was a concern.

Room not ready until after 6:00PM. Had requested larger room or suite. Was given smallest room I have ever stayed in (no exageration). For 2 people and a 5-day stay, it was very inconvenient. Clerk copped an attitude when I respectfully inquired about larger room. Bad first impression was somewhat negated by cleanliness of hotel and high quality of other employees with whom we had contact. during our stay. Service was very good.

Let me begin by thanking you for choosing our hotel in conjunction with the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) conference here in Cincinnati. As a convention traveler, your ratings and comments are especially important to us.

Please accept my sincere apologies for our handling of your check-in. It was disappointing to read that our agents were not more receptive to your concern and didn’t provide you with additional information or options regarding the guestroom type that was available for you. As a historic hotel, we do have rooms of this size remaining in our hotel inventory. Because of the size of the block of rooms for FOP, all of our inventory was put to use for the week that you all were here. Regardless, I apologize that this created a negative impression for you at the start of your stay.

On a more positive note, I was very happy to learn that your encounters with our team during your stay helped to mitigate that initial impression. You can be sure that I’ll share this with the team in general.

I was here for a conference and expected a typical conference hotel. The architecture of this hotel was striking. The staff was professional and I encountered no problems. As others have noted the rooms could use some updating but compared to others of its age it's not a significant problem.

It was an excellent hotel, comfortable, clean and delightfully good banquet food and restaurant food. I was there for a Parents of Murdered Children National Conference and the workshop rooms had plenty of water and pens and pads for notes and hard candy for energy. The beds were so comfortable and the bathrooms clean and plenty of hot water. My only complaint is that at times it was too cold in the banquet room. Other than that it was a great experience.

Lovely old building and beautiful lobby but the rooms need some serious updating. The rooms are very small, I was in a king room and it was like a closet. Very hard to think about the money it costs when you look at the pathetic paint job on the bathroom doors and walls. The bed was very comfy and the views from the observation deck were fantastic. Please update this hotel and make it as classy as it once was. Very friendly staff also.

Room Tip: Ask for a larger room, some of the rooms are tiny.

As a historic hotel, we have a small number of queen and king size beds in this category. When our occupancy allows us to do so, our agents will review our guest’s requests and place our guests in room types that are above and beyond what has originally been reserved. If we did not acknowledge your request our inability to fulfill a larger room type at the time of check in, I apologize.

I selected this hotel due to its proximity. It was within walking distance to the Fountain Square that had nightly activity, and also has an indoor walkway to Macy's and other stores which was great. The hotel is big and did have a musty smell and may be due to being old. The hotel has so much history and famous ghost story of the "lady in green" which made it interesting to tour the place at night. Beautiful decorations and entrace way. The front desk clerk was wonderful and very helpful. I would stay there again when I return to Cincinnati. I used my hilton honors points so I only really paid for valet, and it was worth the stay there.
