“An ok hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2012 via mobile

Our family of 4 stayed Oct. 26th-28th. The hotel is nice and was clean. I was disappointed in the size of the bathroom and the stains on the carpets. The beds were comfortable. I like that the room had a microwave and refridgerator. It's so nice to have with two young boys. They have a hot breakfast which was very good and had lots of options. I gave it a very good rating due to the small bathroom and the stained carpets. The location was perfect and close to everything we needed.

First time in Ohio from Canada had a great stay, very friendly staff, excellent rooms had a great time. Easily located off the highway near lots of places to go and not far from downtown. The staff gave me excellent driving directions to Louisville. Exceeded my expectations!

Very nice hotel. We have stayed there a handful of times and have never been disappointed. Be advised, though, there are no waffles or pancakes at the breakfast room (if you have kids who ask for them as mine do, you might want to forewarn them.)

We stayed at this hotel this past summer. I found it to just be ok. The hotel itself was fine - rooms were good and the complementary breakfast was good too (except I wish they wouldn't use styrofoam plates, etc), but I didn't find the location to be all that convenient to area attractions. It was also hard to walk across the street as there aren't any sidewalks. Lastly, I was disappointed in the swimming pool. It was definitely not up to standards. We used it because it was swim weather, but it's about 50 steps down from the hotel and doesn't have good surroundings.

Just off I74 Rybolt exit. This was a part of a hotel/motel complex back in the day. When HIE took over a few years ago they refreshed the rooms and interior common areas. They are very nice.

The pool area which was the pride of this place in the 80s is a bit worn but clean and well built I understand they are building an indoor pool.

We are here after being displaced by fire. 3 weeks in a hotel with 7 kids may well have warped my perspective.

The rooms and staff have been great. It seems this is the hub of construction workers. Great folks, but expect lots of mud in the common areas

Breakfast is standard Express fare. Folded eggs with cheese wiz, mystery meat and somewhat stale baked goods.. But not terrible.

The regular housekeeping staff is great.. The weekend folks are ok.. Sometimes a challenge to get linen replaced

Overall a very good stay

I would recommend this hotel.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights at the end of August, 2012 while attending a wedding. The hotel is not a Ritz Carlton, but our room was comfortable and of a decent size. There was adequate room to hang our clothes and ample dresser drawer space. The TV was relatively new and had a thin, flat screen. The bathroom sink had plenty of room on top to store our toiletries and the shower size was ample. The shower head was very dated looking, but we really liked the spray it produced. The maid servicing our room was friendly and did an excellent job.

The free hot breakfast was a cut above the norm and included biscuits and gravy and a different meat and egg dish each morning we were there. Most were good, but the cheese in the "cheese omlet" was not adequately melted and left something to be desired. But here was plenty else to choose from. The view from our room was below average since it overlooked a deserted, crumbling motel and its parking lot. But this didn't bother us much since we didn't get the room for the view. I felt initially that the price for the room was a little high (a little over $100 per night plus taxes), but the free hot breakfast helped make the price a little more reasonable. All in all, I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to a fellow traveler.

Room Tip: If you are looking for quiet room, and don't care about the view, choose a room in the back over...
