“ Convenient location, good value ”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2014

You can't beat the location for a convention stay or a family visit to Cincinnati. Across the street from the Duke Convention Center, one block from Fountain square and a five minute walk to the ballparks, The Banks, museums, etc. There are tons of restaurants and bars close by, excellent shopping and the hotel has a restaurant, bar, marketplace and ATM on site. The rooms were spacious, beds very comfortable, views excellent and the bathrooms modern and clean. The hotel is very easy to get too off I-75 and valet parking is worth the price, especially if you come and go a lot. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Comfortable, great staff and clean are three things that would always encourage me to stay with out a doubt but for the money I don't know if that's enough. The room was small with a bad view of the parking garage, an amazing television with bad reception and a warm mini fridge. Oh and I can't forget NO FREE WIFI! Well in the lobby there is buts it's so busy with guests there's no room for privacy. It's a sitting area with table and chairs next to the Market and entry into Saks 5th Avenue. The hotel is also a block or two from Macy's which was a major score for my boyfriend and I. Besides the two major department stores there wasn't much near the hotel and hard to find something good to eat.

Enjoyed this hotel for a guys weekend to watch a Reds game. All went well with our rooms which were ready early. The entire hotel was recently remodeled so everything is very nice and new. Great location, walking distance to the ballpark and all local attractions.

Room Tip: Request a river view room.

Stayed here over July 4. Newly renovated, service is good and staff is friendly. Had an issue with a less than clean bathroom that taken care of immediately. However, nice place to stay and would stay again. Definitely, an upgrade to the old Hyatt Regency.

The hotel was clean. It was located in a great area. Rebecca (at the front desk) was gracious and was wonderfully helpful but saying that, it's suite we rented was ridiculous. It wasn't worth the money, it really shouldn't have been called a suite. It was a room with floor space. NOT worth the money.

Room Tip: River view is more expensive and the view was sketchy at best.

We are locals and stayed downtown for our anniversary. First time ever staying at a downtown hotel in our own city. The Hyatt was recently remodeled and is super clean. The lobby and restaurants are modern, clean and newer. Our room was wonderful, we had a suite and it was enormous! We swam at the pool which is a little dated but clean and comfortable. There were plenty of dining options within walking distance if you choose to go out. We took the free Horseshoe Casino shuttle over to the new casino and enjoyed a nice evening there. I would definitely recommend the Hyatt for a first choice in Cincinnati.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2014

I stayed here for the 4th of July weekend, primarily for the Reds game. I'm from NYC and I like to go to a different baseball stadium every year. The hotel is in a great location in terms of the proximity to the stadium.
It’ll cost about $30-35 from the airport and will take approximately 15 minutes by cab. Checking in was a breeze. Liz and Heaven were both extremely helpful in answering all of my questions regarding the area.
There’s a market in the lobby that sells Starbucks coffee and a bunch of other ideal breakfast items, as well as salads for lunch. This is a great option for when you don’t want to spend too much and have a light meal.
The hotel bar was outstanding. I always sample local brews when I travel. Craig, the bartender, was great in providing info on the beer they had and the places they are brewed. They had a huge selection of local brews. The food was quite good as well. There was also a woman tending bar who was very nice but I don't remember her name.
The pool is on the 5th floor, it’s quite tiny but what I love about the Hyatt is they do utilize their space well. I spent a little time on the deck outside, and it was fine. Nothing fancy, but the option is there to use it. There is also a 24 hour gym located on the 2nd floor.
The room I was in was a king room. Like most rooms in Hyatt hotels the look of the room was very modern. Some reviewers have complained about the size but the room was perfect for me. There was plenty of space in the room which consisted of a desk/chair area, and another chair with an ottoman. There was enough closet space as well.
The staff was great, the room was great, and the location of the hotel was great.
It’s also a 20-30 minute walk or an 8 minute cab ride ($9.00) to Newport, KY. If you have time head over to Newport on the Levee. It’s got a bunch of bars, restaurants, an aquarium, a Game Works, a comedy club, and a bunch of shops. I had no plans to go there but I’m very glad I did. There are great views of the river and the Cincinnati skyline from there. I took a cab there and then walked over the bridge after.
I strongly recommend this hotel!!!

Thanks Mike for taking the time to write such an in-depth review. It is great that you travel to see baseball games and stadiums! We do have an awesome location to walk to both the Reds, and for football, the Bengals stadium too. We really appreciate your insights about your hotel stay. Thank you very much for calling out three of our associates for exceptional service. We are honored to receive your recommendation.
