“Very Nice!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2011

A few friends and I stayed here with a friend the night before her wedding in one of the suites and it was very nice. The room and hotel all around was very clean. The beds were comfortable...I slept on the pull out bed and it really wasn't that bad! The lobby is beautiful and the front desk staff is very nice. One of the friends asked to get a room early the day of the wedding due to timing of getting her stuff out of the bridal suite and they were able to check her in at 7:15am to help. I didn't use the exercise equipment but it looked like one of the nicer "exercise rooms" I have seen at a hotel...all of the machines had their own individual TV's. If you are staying here on a visit to Cincinnati, make sure to look at a map of where the hotel is in relation to downtown as it is about 25 minutes away...this was not a big deal for us. The only thing I was not thrilled with was that the $12.99 breakfast buffet was very basic to be so expensive and drinks cost extra...service was very good and the servers were extremely pleasant.

My family stayed at the Holiday Inn Eastgate for 3 nights in early October. We stayed in a suite which was very comfortable. We had a pull-out sofa and king bed, with 2 bathrooms and microwave and frig/freezer and a bar sink. There were actually dishes in the cupboard. It had a nice lobby and indoor pool. This is not a fine resort but comfortable stay and convenient to the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area. Plenty of shopping and restaurants very near.

Kudos to Debbie Smith, the hotel's wedding coordinator and ALL of the staff at the Holiday Inn Eastgate... the reception was nearly flawless!
The only Con -- get ready now...it's a biggie... is the (homemade) salad dressing wasn't the same as in the tasting. We were told the Chef periodically changes the menu. Had she known how much we loved the dressing, she wouldn't have. HOWEVER, the salad was excellent as was the dressing served so the only ones who noticed anything amis, was us. Yes, folks..this was it..just the dressing.
The service was impecabble. They literally thought of every detail. Each and every server was pleasant. The FOOD was EXCELLENT!! The decor was nice. We did interview other venues with more glitz and glam but I doubt they were as great on food and service. Everyone not only paid attention to the Bride and Grooms needs, but the grandmas..mothers and fathers... they served us our drinks... if we said jump, they said how high..seriously.. I cannot say enough about them! And the next day everyone I encountered with details (like removing personal items left in reception hall overnight) they jumped in and helped load in car - refusing to be tipped.
The price for their wedding package blows everyone else we interviewed out of the water. And they include complimentary rooms and suites which you simply can't get from a non-hotel vendor. I wish I could re-live the entire evening!! All of our guests said it was the best wedding they've ever attended.
... the rooms we stayed in were clean and comfortable and well appointed. The bridal suite was wonderful!! (I am the mother of the bride) They offered the Bride and Groom and 2 room suite with jacuzzi tub - kitchenette/bar/living room. Very nice!!

I was surprised at this very nice Holiday Inn. The reception area has a waterfall into a pool area with seating around it, so when you walk in you hear the water. NIce touch. The receptionists were always friendly and willing to help in any way. The day before we left we were personally called in our room to ask how our stay was and if we needed anything. We asked for a late check out and that was fine. Our room was a nice size with a couch and desk and large flat screen TV. It was clean and there was a choice of a firm or soft pillows. Our room overlooked a parking lot and strip mall across the street. All the housekeepers in the hallways were friendly. There is an indoor pool and jacuzzi with a business center next to it. We had breakfast there every day and it was quite good. They also have a buffet. We noticed that there were several weddings that weekend plus a large old car rally so the hotel was very full. It is in front of the Eastgate Mall with a Sears, Kohl's, J.C. Penney's and Dillards and very convenient to many chain restaurants. There is free WiFi and a large outdoor free parking lot. All in all it was a nice two day stay for a high school reunion.

Stayed overnight last weekend. The hotel staff was really friendly, and the place is very clean. Room was clean and everything was well tended to. I was with a wedding party, the staff left the bar open for us and a few other wedding parties (that was really nice) Didn't have time to use the pool or anything else the hotel has to offer.

Room Tip: Hotel still offers a few smoking rooms for those interested.

We stayed here on several occassions last year. Sometimes we travel with our dogs and this hotel doesnt gauge you because of it. The tv's are nice flat screens plenty of room in the rooms . The restaurant is okay but there are lots of close by restaurants The staff is excellent and the service consistent. Unfortunately I have mixed reviews about other holiday inn's but this hotel maintains the brand promise!

Room Tip: all of the rooms are good but if you are here for more than a few days the suites are awesome!

Stayed there in a one bedroom suite. Nice accommodations. Didn't use pool. Fitness center just off pool was small but fine. Has fairly weak wifi signal. Large lobby that had a manager's reception on Tue. My colleague staying there was not informed of the reception. I received breakfast buffet coupons included in the state government rate; otherwise the buffet cost $14.95, which, while a nice buffet, is a bit pricey for my breakfast eating. Staying in the hotel for an extended time are linesmen working for Pike. One worker told me he'd been in that hotel for 2 years. They were present throughout (breakfast, reception, etc) but never were they a problem. Will likely return on business in a couple of years and would gladly stay in the hotel. The area around there has many stores and restaurants, but the road layout seems a good example of poor planning. Can drive up to Milford a few miles away for great dining at 20 Brix.

Room Tip: With a state government rate, got a nice suite at a good price, and breakfast to boot.
