Wild Ginger is a nice Asian fusion restaurant which appears to have designed their atmosphere around people who are afraid to pick up their bowl of Miso soup and drink it as one would in Japan, or elsewhere in Asia. One must ask for chopsticks with a meal as realistically, for many Americans, eating with chopsticks can be awkward and messy. All of that to say, there are some items on Wild Ginger's menu that are served properly and there are some items on the menu that are simply (and I think intentionally) designed for the average American who is looking to stretch themselves culturally a little bit, but not too far. I say, life is short! ...and while I prefer to eat my Asian dishes with chopsticks, YOU go ahead and pick up that spoon or fork to eat that meal that you're paying for with your hard-earned money. Don't let that culture snob across the table from you keep you from enjoying your meal.
