“Friendly check-in staff. Average Hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2013

The check-in staff was very friendly and check-in was quick.
The room was on the 14th floor and was clean, but it was a smaller room.
The sheets on the bed were not very comfortable as the felt and sounded like paper.
Ever time I moved the sheets, it sounded like paper moving around on a desk.
Perhaps the hotel could use different laundry detergent to solve this, or perhaps they just need new sheets.
I will stay here again in the future.
There is a small indoor waterpark at this hotel too. It looked like it may be fun for young children.

We spent a total of 15 minutes on site November 9th. The room we checked into was filthy. There was pink matter on the ceiling, a patched hole in the wall, and hairs/dirt on the sheets. Also a guest who smelled of alcohol had a pit bull with no leash in the elevator which was nuts. Explained this to the night manager who was more concerned with the impression I was making on the pizza delivery man she was chatting up. She never apologized or offered another room. Kept telling pizza guy this has never ever happened. Hello he didn't pay for the room- no idea why she apologized to him. Never received a refund. Or an apology. Or a call from the management. I manage customer experience for a fortune 100 company and I won't be back. Do yourself a favor and stay at the Drury down the road!

The staff upon check-in was very friendly. The room we stayed in was clean and spacious. The pool looked really nice, but we did not have time to go swimming. The only complaint is that the bathroom was small and cramped. We visit the area frequently due to family and will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Room Tip: The too floor is really nice.

This property has an indoor water park, which was the sole reason for our visit on my daughter's birthday. As we were traveling with a pet, we requested a 1st floor room and received an email confirming that request would be honored. Upon check-in (after a 3.5 hour drive), the front desk clerk told us that we would be unable to use the water park without purchase of a special holiday package. I stated that this would have been handy information at the time of reservation, but said that I would purchase the holiday package. Without any detail as to why not, she said we could not purchase the package. Then she handed me the room key for a 10th floor room. I told her that we needed a 1st floor room, and she told me the property had "no 1st floor guest rooms." Note that the front desk manager was standing 4 feet away during the entire process, and studiously avoided both eye contact and involvement. Clerk replaced the 10th floor for a 3rd floor, so we went to look for nearby stairwell exits to determine how best to take the dog out. In the process, we discovered no stairwell exits that weren't emergency only. What we did discover was a multitude of unoccupied 1st floor rooms. At this point, we called the corporate guest relations 800#. They said they had no information on water park unavailability, and could clearly see the 1st floor request in the reservation. They opened a ticket and said they would call the property to speak to the manager, then have the manager call me back with a resolution. Two hours later (no call back), I phoned the front desk to learn that the manager had gone home. I left a voicemail saying that the room was unused, and that we were driving home. Two days later, they charged my credit card, anyway.
If you go, go with LOW EXPECTATIONS.

Being a platium member for years, but it is time to change brands. First, the best was Ducan the chef in the hotel. Best service and very friendly and nice to all customers. Now, this over priced hotel with the small rooms, no shuttle service, business center fax machine not working, unfriendly front desk( with the exception to Shanon) a very nice lady is not worth it. After 18 years with IHG it is time for a change. It like everything is nickle and dime. The club lounge was not open morning or evening. Just plain bad. This brand has lost touch with it core customers and have all respect of taking the life out of was once a good brand. Just overall, it is time to let IHG go. My last hotel stays with the brand has not been up to par and no service. To overprice for the area and too over price at all. A business traveler does not care about a water park.

This hotel was not at all what i expected. Checkin took forever and the walk to the elevators to get to the rooms was very long.... The rooms were VERY SMALL! We had a double room. It was not suitable for a family of 4. No hair dryer in room and there was not a fridge in the room either. The room was very clean. The beds were so hard... My back still hurts from them.
We did enjoy the water park... It was family friendly and clean. The water was a little cold... but nothing you couldn't get used to. I ould skip the stay at the hotel and just do the water park.. save yourself the money...

I would not stay here again... There are plenty of other Fine hotels in this area that are a much better value...

We stayed here for one reason, to take kids to the indoor water park called Coco Key attached. That was fun for grade schoolers for 2 or 3 hours. For parents who want to have a few beers while the kids play, there's a bar inside the water park. Also an arcade but many games are broken. The cost of an all day admission is $20 each, or $15 after 4. It would be hard to make an all day thing of it, though. The hotel was not busy and the overall atmosphere was bleak. Clean, but bleak. The hotel says all rooms have been renovated and ours were perfectly nicely decorated for an average mid range hotel. Some of the room service food was inedible, but they replaced it without argument. None of it was what you could call good. Oddly, room service did not automatically include glasses of ice water or ketchup with fries. Best to eat elsewhere, or just stick with the PIzza Hut available from the water park. Between the connecting doors, somebody had squirrelled away a few condoms, fortunately still in their wrappers. There were a few other housekeeping misses, such as no liner for the ice bucket and bath tile walls and faucets that might have been cleaned but did not look clean. This hotel really has nothing to recommend it but the fact you can get to the water park without going outside in cold weather.

Room Tip: Adjoining king and double/double rooms are available. There are rooms with balconies overlooking th...
