Had dinner as a party of 4 prior to theater at the Arnof. It is in a great location, especially for preconcert meals. The atmosphere is kind of trendy. The wait staff that we encountered were nice and attentive but all seemed to be pretty young.
The wine list is not impressive at all for a restaurant that presents itself as upscale. The food was rather unimpressive. My fiance had the ahi tuna and the color was not what you usually see with high grade ahi, it was darker. The side dishes were ok but nothing to get excieted about. I had a grilled shrimp risotto which was ok, but to me seemed to have an almost mass produced quality to it.
We split a chocolate mousse cake which was frozen so hard that it was difficult to eat.
Our party was all in Cincy for the weekend from our far smaller town and hoped for a great gastric experience before our show. We had heard good things about Bella and maybe our expectations were too high. The food quality was no better, if as good as what we get in our home town at establishments with far less hype. The prices I do have to say were for the most part about the same as what we usually pay in our area.
Bottom line is I would not rate Bella highly, but it is convenient for the Arnoff and has a good atmosphere, but if quality food is important go elsewhere.
