“Excellent food in a historic site”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2012

In the old police station in Cincinnati you get excellent service with top of the line steaks either off or on the bone. The wine selection is also extensive and well balanced.

“Good as always”

Great food and service. Nice atmosphere. Very expensive but a memorable experience as always. Brussel sprouts were outstanding. NIce bar to hang out at before dinner.

“A Memorable Anniversary”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2012

My husband and I visited The Precinct for our 2nd Year Anniversary. We got there a little early so we enjoyed drinks in the very trendy bar. The architecture is amazing and the scene is very lively; however, we could still enjoy a sweet exchange that made us feel like we were the only people there. The food is exquisite and the accompaniments were divine. Our server was great and she even complimented us with a special dessert. The filet is awesome and so is the salmon! We loved the cream corn. It wasn't to sweet but fluffy and just right. There is a sure standard of service that exists in this restaurant. I love to see that in every aspect of a business! We will re-visit!

“Time after time the best!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2012

Ate there with my girlfriend. I first had dinner here in 1984, and the food is as good now as then, but the prices have risen some what.. If anyone is eating there for the first time or on a repeat basis, then the pasta for 2 as an apertiser cannot be beaten for quality anywhere i have eaten around the world. The steaks are to die for. The only concern is that the tables are a little bit too close for comfort, and avoid the table for two on the left as you enter the restaurant down the stairs. Saying all of the attached, its one of my most favorite places to visit, and absolutely never disappoints.

“Cincinnati's finest”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2012

Jeff Ruby is the steakmeister in this part of the country and the crown jewel of his restaurant empire is The Precinct. It's pricey, it's worth it. Don't make an early reservation, it's sleepy before eight. Go later, enjoy the eclectic crowd: couples celebrating, families celebrating, P&G executives dining business class, hustlers, Hyde Park aristos, nervous first dates, it's all good. Don't go on Sunday, it's almost empty. Go Friday or Saturday, dive in, and enjoy the bone-in New York steak. Amazing.
One disappointment: The remodeled bar. They took out the character, replaced it with a pedestrian atmosphere, really awful. Avoid the bar, enjoy the food and wonderful service.
