“Riverside Dining”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2014

The Montgomery Inn is in a great location on the banks of the Ohio River. They have a great bar with outside seating, and the staff were very nice. They are known for their great ribs, but they have plenty of other dishes on their menu as well. It is a popular spot so be sure to make reservations!

“What's the big deal?”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2014 via mobile

Maybe in it's prime 10-15 years ago but the only thing worth going for is a drink or two on the balcony overlooking the river. Food is ok at best. Sat outside and expected a little nicer...felt like i was sitting at a neighbors bar-b-q under the tent on plastic chairs and tables...skip it and find one of the better places in town.

“Barbque and Great Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2014

Excellent Ribs and Excellent Service. Friendly Staff! Neat view of the river area. Everyone of the staff we encountered were extremely courteous and friendly. We were there celebrating our anniversary and a mini-vacation before the boys went back to school. My wife, 15 year old and myself shared a couple of entree's. The ribs were amazing. We ordered a couple of appetizers as well. The food was excellent. Service was great. and the restaurant had a lot of cool sports memorabilia too. We had been to the zoo and decided to eat before heading back to the hotel. We arrived about 4:30 with no wait. There was a wait when we were leaving, but not sure how long. Highly recommend for a couple on a date or family outing. It looked good for a business meeting too.

“Unimpressed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2014 via mobile

I live in Florida now but came back to Cincinnati this past weekend for a family wedding and stayed a few extra days with other family members. Montgomery Boathouse was always a favorite for out-of-town guests in the past, so we decided to let them experience this Cincinnati institution. I was so embarrassed. We waited over an hour to be seated on a Tuesday night that did not appear that crowded. Our waitress was OK but she spouted off the night's menu like she was bored and disinterested. Thank heavens that parking was easy and our food was good.

“Will not be back”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2014

This was recommended and we were very disappointed. The service was slow and the food was below par. My friend ordered the ribs and they had about an inch of sauce on them and they had an old taste. The ribs were very dry and not fresh. I had salmon and while the fish was hot and had a good taste all the sides and sauces on the fish were ice cold.
