“A must see gem in the Queen City”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2012

When in Cincinnati always check to see if you can take in a Cincinnati Pops performance. They are the best of the best our city has to offer, with exciting guest artists.

“Always an entertaining show”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2012

While we all miss Eric Kunzel, they have done a great job with JR the new conductor and the fill-ins before he was hired. Shows are planned to be entertaining and always are. Music quality is never less than suburb. Music Hall is an incredible venue with great acoustics.

“Pleasant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2011

The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra offers great music and we appreciate the opportunity to purchase tickets for a performance rather than single tickets.
We always couple the performance with a local Cincinnati restaurant.

“SINCE 1965 THE CINCINNATI POPS ORCHESTRA (CPO) HAVE ACHIEVED PROMINENCE IN THE MUSIC WORLD”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2011

In 1965, Max Rudolph the CSO music director - conductor, promoted assistant conductor Erich Kunzel to form and lead the CPO. And as the saying goes the rest is history.

Under Erich Kunzel's baton, the CPO has many achievements and successes. In 2008, the CPO was the only international orchestra invited to perform at the opening festivities of the Beiijing Olympics.

We have been annual subscribers to the CPO since its founding, and have enjoyed all of the concerts we attended.

With the passing of Erich Kunzel in 2009, the CPO conducted an extensive search for his replacement. At the beginning of the 2011 season, this search resulted in John Morris Russell as the next music director- conductor of the CPO.

The CPO musicians, to their credit are so good, that the CPO will continue without missing a beat.
