“Not to be missed during the Holiday Season.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

The Zoo does more decorating for the holidays that anyone could believe. Go in late afternoon to see the animals, and stay until a little after dusk to see the incredible number of lights strung up all around the grounds (which are beautiful even without the lights).

“Lucky to get parking for Festival of Lights”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

We took five adults and six little kids to the Festival of Lights and were so lucky to find a place to park on the backside of the zoo on a dark side street. Once inside, the zoo was as wonderful as ever and the music and light displays were mesmerizing. We saw the show in the outdoor amphitheater and it held the interest of toddlers and adults alike. We rode the merry go round without a long wait even though the weather was perfect. We heard the train had a very long wait. It was easy to buy snacks, walk through exhibits and stroll with our friends.

“always a good time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

I bought my daughter a yearly pass, so we go often. the new parking lot is nice, no more parking in the sun. it's best to go in the morning before the crowds. we go in the winter for the penguin parade(so cool) and the festival of lights(beautiful). the pass is definitely worth the money, 2 trips and it was paid for. the kids love it when they bring the animals out for close encounters.

I liked everything about the zoo except for the parking and they now have new parking so it's even better!

“Great day at the Zoo”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2012

Liked the cleanliness and the commitment to the environment.
We spent a long time in the insect house as I have a son who loves ants and there are some great opportunities to watch the leaf stripper ants at work. The lady in the room was very knowledgable about her insects especially the ants and spent a long time with my son explaining about the ants. It was great.

Lots to see and do in a beautiful setting. This is a local zoo to us and we have a membership so we visit regularly. The lights were up too ready for christmas so it is always beautiful to see the zoo at christmas.
Great day out with plenty to do for all ages.
