“Great”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2012

This is one of the top zoos I have been to (my list isn't too big). I typically love big cats (e.g. Lions, Tigers) but my favorite exhibit at the Cincinnati Zoo is the insect house. I love the leaf cutter ants. The botanical garden portion of the name is a misnomer - I would not consider their invasive weeds growing in the animals area as a botanical garden. However, the blooms in the spring are amazing!

We went with My granddaughter to her first zoo visit and it was well work the money. I think she like the people more than the animals except the Lions

“Beautiful Older Zoo”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2012

This zoo has so much character compared to newer concrete jungle types. I love the rolling hillsides and the flow of the entire zoo. It has wonderful botanical areas. Being an older zoo the exhibits are animal watching friendly. I will say that it is rather expensive. If you are bringing lots of children be sure to eat before you go and pack a lunch if you are going to be there all day. The entrance fee will not cover all. There are extra cost for certain attractions (none that are truly necessary). Middle income visitors will probably only do this on a special occasion. That said. It is a really nice zoo.

“Fun evening out”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

The zoo was a very entertaining evening out. There's a lot of walking to do and lots of hills so wear sneakers. We spent over 2 hours there and probably didn't see it all. Great for kids.

“Lions and tigers and bears oh my!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Well, animals galore anyway. A great zoo not too small not too large for the younger ones. They do a great job decorating for the holidays, and making it extra fun for the little ones! Go at Chritmas time for the light show!!

Bring a stroller, there are hills.
