“Appearances can be deceiving”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2013

When our Cincinnati friend Diana took us to Melt to say we were dubious is putting it mildly. Reviewers call it eclectic, maybe add a little bizarre to the mix and you are standing at the counter trying to figure out what to order.

This is a perfect case of appearances being deceiving. Melt has WONDERFUL food. Our little group ordered:

 Mediterranean Plate - scoops of hummus, with olive tapenade, served with pesto toast, cucumber slices and optional crumbled feta (I declined the feta)
 The Joan Of Arc - roast beef, roasted red peppers, roasted garlic, blue cheese, caramelized onions and provolone melted on foccaccia.
 Artichoke Melt - open faced melt with artichoke-spinach spread, sliced roma tomatoes and white cheddar baked on flatbread

Everything was freshly prepared and flavors of were superb. You have to do a little searching to find Melt as it is somewhat off the beaten path but it is more than worth the drive/search.

“A great "taste" treat.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2013 via mobile

The artichoke melt, is to "die"for....although everyone loved their choices. 1 hoffner, 1 Joan of arc, 2 artichoke.
It was easy ordering and the service was timely. The staff was very people friendly, really customer service oriented

Loved the experience..

“Garden Brunch is a Deal!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2013

We visited Melt on a Sunday for brunch and had a nice brunch for under $25. The patio in the back is the way to go, a bit funky and overgrown and rustic but not bad. If you are into manicured gardens you will hate it though. In terms of food, I had the Hot Brown which was quite good and my wife had the vegetarian huevos rancheros which were also very good. You order at the counter and then food is delivered to you. Service was fast and courteous. While we won't be rushing back, its a nice change of pace.

“Tastes good and love the ambiance....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

What a great surprise, to find this great sandwich shop, where the surroundings have just as much character as the menu. Creative table cards - with pop culture icons, mine had Mr. Rogers on it - mark your order. Soul music pips over the speakers, while you enjoy your hot, savory sandwich melt, each with a creative name. The Joan of Arc melt was so amazing; I ate the whole thing, even though I did not intend to. Dip your side of herbed potatoes in curried sauce instead of the stand-by ketchup. YUM! I will be back.
