“Had a good stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2012

Our room was clean and the bed comfortable. The breakfast was fine, definitely better than you get at a lot of places. The location was very convenient to the freeway, as well as the downtown sites. There are a couple of restaurants within a block of the place, which I really liked after a long day of driving. We will stay here again when we are in the area.

We had to share our room with our dog. The staff was very nice.
Our dog did not like staying alone in the room and we got a call to rescue our pooch. Our dog was fine in the car during our dinner. We got charged $10 for that event. He was quite for the rest of the night...
The room is comfortable, clean, spacious, and well equipped.

Room Tip: 3rd floor is great.

We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. I would like to clarify that the $10 charge was the same $10 charge per night that anyone with a dog in the room pays. Because you responded quickly to the issue of the barking there were no additional charges. As a pet friendly hotel, we certainly appreciate pet owners like yourselves that are quick to respond to complaints of noise. We look forward to having you stay with us in the future.

This is one of the worst Motels I've ever stayed in. I finally went out to my car at 3:00 so I could get some sleep. The room was dirty, and the door to my room shook (loudly) every time anyone on the floor came in or out of their room. The walls are paper thin and the bed was uncomfortable. There is no reason to stay here when the car in the parking lot is better than the hotel room! Enough said.
When I did complain the next morning, they did allow me to cancel my remaining nights and refunded the nights stay. So I give them credit for that.

I apologize for your uncomfortable stay at our hotel. Comments from guests, both good and bad, are often the best indicator of how we are doing. Obviously we did not do well in your case but your comments are still apreciated. It helps us know where we need to improve. Again, I apologize. Sincerely, Sharon Graese General Manager

We had not been to Walla Walla in over 40 years, so we were due to make a return visit. By late afternoon when we arrived, it was hot and humid, so our air-conditioned room was very welcome. Reception staff recommended Backstage Bistro for dinner and gave us good directions to find it. En route to the restaurant, we did some wine tasting at Walla Faces, which proved to be a pleasant stop. The restaurant was two doors down, so very convenient. After dinner we walked around historic downtown, which we had not seen on our earlier visit. We even found a great ice cream shop to patronize. The pool provided after-dinner relief from the heat and humidity. The room was a suite, with a sitting area separated by a divider from the sleeping area. That enabled me to read without disturbing my wife's rest. In the morning, we treated to a very ample breakfast. The motel was conveniently located near the highway we needed to take as we continued our journey northwards to Spokane.

Room Tip: We asked for a 3rd story room, and received it. The motel is a few blocks from any major streets or...

This hotel is conveniently situated near to the highway and also the Downtown area. It's in a leafy, quiet area. We were able to check in early and found the reception staff to be helpful. The breakfasts were varied and it was convenient that the hotel has a lift as we were on the 3rd floor.
Cookies were complimentary in the evening and 2 restaurants were near by although many close on Sunday.

Room Tip: 3rd floor - overlooking the Car Park was quiet and spacious.

Really? What more are you looking for? The rooms are comfortable and clean and just steps away from downtown Walla Walla. It's the perfect central location for a wine tasting trip. We've stayed here at least 4 times and have never had a bad experience.
