“disappointing”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2013

We ate here on Halloween while visiting Walla Walla for Fall release weekend. We had eaten at the restaurant when it was Creektown, and had heard it was under new ownership. The menu has changed and no longer emphasizes seasonal fare. Salad with strawberries was the special -- and this was the end of October. The food was mediocre at best, and quite expensive. The wine list was not accurate (menu says one vintage, and they served another). The service was weak: server was unable to describe an appetizer when asked about it; and was generally inarticulate and looked like she wanted to be elsewhere. In short, I recommend eating elsewhere -- we ate at Brasserie the next night and it was great.

“disappointing”

when it was the Creekside Cafe and owned by a couple of great guys. I used to say the duck was the best anywhere.

the menu didn't appeal much, very mainstream. The music was smooth jazz poppy, really awful. the lighting was way too bright. Sitting in a booth I felt like I was in an old folks home. Just a really different experience than it was a few years back.

“Handled our group well...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2013

Attractive wine country-styled interior. Very nice outdoor seating area. We were at this restaurant in mid-July so unfortunately don't remember exactly what we had. We were a group of ten, seated at a long table inside. The wait staff was efficient, friendly and added to the enjoyable experience. Questions about the menu were capably handled and food came out of the kitchen at a well-timed pace. Food must have been good; I remember lots of yumms, m-m-m-s and general happiness with the whole evening. Would definitely return.

“Mixed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2013

We dined there on Friday and Sunday evenings on a weekend spent in Walla Walla in September 2013 and had 2 markedly different experiences. Atmosphere is OK, good menu and beverage selections.
Friday: Party of 4 with a last minute reservation. Service was excellent, and server and another individual were interactive and fun. Food was served promptly and was well prepared- 4 entrees were judged as very good to excellent Would give them 4-5 stars for this..
Sunday: Party of 6 with advanced reservation. It was stormy and there were rumored to be power outages, but we detected no evidence of this in dining area. Same server who was scarce; food was slow to appear (kitchen problems?) and 4 rib eye steaks (ordered on our recommendation) were overcooked and disappointing along with 2 perfectly cooked filet mignons. Unlikely to return.

“Would not go back”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2013

Had heard a lot of very positive things about this restaurant and so my husband and I were excited to finally try it. Upon entering the restaurant, it appeared to be a redecorated Denny's. Not the atmosphere expected for a restaurant that is on the spendy side. Living in wine country, we have certain expectations regarding ordering wine, especially when ordering a bottle. Our bottle came and it was obviously not stored at the appropriate temperature so it ruined the wine for us. As mentioned above, it is a little spendy, and for what we paid, I was disappointed with my meal. I do not think I will be going back.
