“A Wonderful, Wonderful Find in Downtown Walla Walla”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2013

Walla Walla's downtown exudes small-town charm, but there is nothing small town about these modern, well-equipped accommodations on the second floor of a rehabbed brick building. Our unit, #5, was spacious, modern and handsomely decorated, more like our own apartment than the usual hotel. There was a full-size kitchen, also a full-size laundry in the bathroom with its jetted soaking tub (plus great shower!). Thoughtful touches abounded, including a complimentary bottle of Walla Faces Syrah (tasting room downstairs), along with complimentary two beers and canned juice in the frig. The central location on Main Street allowed us to sample Walla Walla's culinary and winery delights by walking everywhere. We had but two minor quibbles -- the platform bed frame needed some padding since it poses a real threat to someone getting out of bed in the middle of the night; having a great washer & dryer was welcome, but at least a single serving of laundry soap would have been helpful in an emergency. Lastly, an unusual coded, keyless entry system to the building and our room worked perfectly. The free parking behind the building completed this most appealing lodging package -- a decided step up from chain hotels & motels but providing a genuine Walla Walla experience. Bravo! Bravo!

Room Tip: Our room, facing away from Main Street, seemed much quieter than those overlooking Main Street, espe...

Wow! That was all my husband and I could say when we walked into our Suite #1 at the Walla Faces Inn at Historic Downtown. It was like walking into home but cleaner and nicer! There is a full kitchen and the owners stock the fridge with a couple of welcome beers and juice. There was also a complimentary bottle of wine from the Walla Faces winery waiting for us on the counter--a great Syrah! The decor is fabulous. I really appreciated the cool art that was on the walls and in the bathroom. The bathroom features a nice soaker tub with jets and a double walk-in shower. There is also a washer and dryer in the suite. We didn't have any detergent or Bounce with us but one of the staff members was nice enough to provide us with a cup of detergent and a few dryer sheets so we could do laundry. So my only suggestion for improvement would be to include a travel size detergent pack in the suite. I had handwash packs with me but not proper detergent.

The location of the inn is also fabulous. You park in the back and can access the elevator for the 2nd floor rooms from the alley. There is also stairs that lead out onto the street and there are several great restaurants and tasting rooms within a short walking distance.

Room Tip: We stayed in Suite #1 and loved it. Apparently there are other suites that can accommodate different...

This is a great hotel - interesting building, quirky artwork, spacious rooms and comfortable beds. Great location, everything is in walking distance - cafes, bars, restaurants, even a winery or two. Generous inclusions on arrival including a bottle of wine, beers, juices, coffee, water and small snacks - felt very welcoming after a long drive from Seattle. We stayed in Suite 6 which had two bedrooms, kitchen and living area and a large shared bathroom with a nice deep bath with water jets. Only minor complaint was the noisy air con/fan in the living room which can't be turned off or down. This location is great - quiet, convenient. A little pricey when we went, but ok split between two couples

Big thumbs for Walla Faces Inns. We were greeted by a complimentary bottle of wine in our room! The location was perfect for all of the downtown wineries and restaurants. Our room was beautiful and the owners accommodated our early arrival and late departure.

My husband and I stayed in Suite 1 while on a wine tasting trip. It's a true home away from home. Very clean and great location. Nice touches in the room. Fun art. We so enjoyed the hospitality of Rick, Debbie and Victor while touring the vineyard and winery! It was a lot of fun. Thank you!

The downtown location is incredibly convenient to the Whitman Campus. It feels like a home away from home, and the comfortable environs provide a comfortable setting for hanging out as a family. We had a great time, and hope to return soon.

Hi Heather! Oh, we love Whitman families! It really is fun to have parents stay with us for all four years, and then at graduation when we have to say goodbye it does pull at the heartstrings. We have the opportunity to get to meet the entire family and be part of a happy time in everyone's life. Thanks so much for making us part of your Whitman days! And, thank you for taking the time to write your review here on TripAdvisor for other Whttie parents to read. We sincerely appreciate it! Debbie & Rick Johnson

Walk to anywhere downtown--all shopping and restaurants. They gave us a bottle of wine and coffee, juice, beer. Wow! We love staying here. Plenty of room, very nice full kitchen. Quiet and comfortable. Good service.

Room Tip: We take the 2 bedroom suite 6 and love it.
