“A prize in Walla Walla; one of my favorite restaurants, anywhere.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2009

After dining here around a dozen times, I can attest that, consistently, the meals are mouthwatering and sophisticated, the presentation is stylish, the service is friendly and talented, and the atmosphere is bright and elegantly trendy. The wine list is expansive, with a hard-to-beat selection of local wines and a helpful staff for wine-meal pairings. Live music frequently accompanies the meal (because, as the amiable owner once came out and told me, how can you have good food without good music to go along?). Dining here is an enjoyable and fun experience that extends beyond the [fabulous] food.

“Excellent meal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2009

I had dinner here ... ribeye steak with tiger prawns and garlic mashed potatoes. It was delicious! The staff was very friendly and easily handled me as a solo diner. There was no live jazz the night I was there, which is unfortunate because the setting was great.

“One of the better restaurants in town”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2009

Nice atmosphere. Wide menu with lots of choices so something for everyone. Local wines by the glass in 3, 6 and 9 oz sizes so you can try a few if you want. Also by the bottle. Lots of appetizers which is nice for couples who want to share several small plates. Jazz bands late on weekends but didn't see that ourselves.

“Backstage Bistro”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2009

We needed to go to Walla Walla, Wa. on business.
What a great surprise!
Walla Walla is a small town with such a homespun feel.
In our search for a restaurant the hotel manager suggested the Backstage Bistro.
From the excellent service, superb food to a great 3 piece jazz group, it will remain one of my most pleasant restaurant memories.
A must for dining in Walla Walla.
