This hotel has the potential to be very nice but, they definitely need a better front desk staff. I have stayed several times, and it was only my latest stay when I finally saw some smiling faces.
One time when I stayed there a man on the floor above mine was having a bad drug trip and hollering and banging the walls; this went on for some time.
The rooms are nice, however, their little card listing the prices of the coffemaker, hair dryer, iron, soap dish, etc, should you decide to steal them, was TACKY, TACKY, TACKY!!!
I would also like free local and toll-free calls from my room.
The end suites are very nice and a good value for a group or family.
The buffet is small but the food is quite good, and they have REAL (not soft-serve) ice cream, 6 flavors, for dessert.

“Rude, Terrible Staff DON'T STAY AT THE HORIZON”

The Horizon staff as a whole is awful. They are rude, lazy and inconsiderate.

Our terrible stay at Horizon included blatant loud profanity directed at patrons. Impatient attitudes when speaking to and infront of customers. Discussing personal issues and openly complaining about the length of the lines.

Maybe this was just a bad night for the employees at Horizon but it was my first and last night there.

Absolutely useless staff! Either extremely lazy or inconsiderate, or a combination of both Up to and including the hotel manager!

I don't remember the exact rate, but it was low and they gave us a suite with a king bed and a pull out sofa and two televisions. The suite was an exceptional value that I guess we lucked into. Room was cleaner than the common areas, but they were okay too. People were nice. It is about 3 or 4 miles off of Interstate 20. My kids found it much more interesting than the typical roadside place. I would stay there again.
