We stayed at Anchuca Mansion B&B on our way home from Texas. What am amazing place! Decided to splurge and stay in the suite... Absolutely beautiful! Perfectly decorated with period antiques.
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was amazing... Don't miss their famous cheese grits! Enjoyed a video on the history of the Mansion while having breakfast and then took a self-guided tour of the home.
Looking forward to a return trip to visit the other historical sights in Vicksburg and will definitely stay at Anchuca!!

The house is beautiful and all the antiques were stellar. The breakfast was excellent. The biggest surprise was the pool area with the outside kitchen. Its great for a romantic getaway!!!! We definitely plan on returning for a second trip.

Wonderful 3 night experience on a beautiful piece of property. We had such a great experience at this historical property. Warm and friendly welcome. Spacious and comfortable room. Beautiful landscaping and pool area. The restaurant is absolutely exquisite. The food is amazing. I am not a big breakfast eater but I absolutely looked forward to eating breakfast every morning. We stayed in the Carriage House in Kate's room. The bed was extremely comfortable. There was a mini-fridge, flat screen tv and Wi-fi in the room.We did not get an opportunity to use the pool but the set up was gorgeous and now, of course, I am wishing we would have set aside some pool time. I also wish we would have spent more time relaxing in the library perusing the books and historic artifacts that were on display.

We ate brunch at Anchuca Mansion on our return trip from Texas. The food was wonderful and the wait staff very accommodating. We were traveling with two children and although they don't have a kids menu, they had kid friendly food available. Our food was wonderful and the price included dessert! The menu changes but food was beautifullly presented and gourmet. The bread pudding was worth the calories. We loved the old house and when we complimented the innkeeper, he gave us a private tour of the grounds and rooms. He was so nice, sharing the beautiful old house, telling us about its history. I would love to return and stay in one of the rooms in the section not attached to the inn.

Room Tip: I thought the rooms in the building beside main house looked really cute. Be sure to eat or you wil...

Oh My! If only we had planned to stay longer at this wonderful establishment! We unfortunately had only one night to stay in Anchuca, but I guess it's better than never having stayed here at all. We enjoyed some of the best Southern hospitality and food that we have ever experienced in our past few visits to the South. Tom's incredibly warm welcome was so soothing after a long days drive through Mississippi, and our room was so cosy and comfortable. And then.......we had dinner at the lovely cafe on the premises.......oh how I wish we could replicate the tastes of the South back home! I guess it's the amazing people and food that keeps bringing us back all the way from Australia, we just love it!

Anchuca has been beautifully restored and lovingly maintained. Do yourselves a favour if travelling through Vicksburg and stay here, you will NOT be disappointed!
