The front desk staff went out their way to help us sorting out problems, including an erroneous ticket from a parking garage. She also assigned a corner ocean view room to us without being asked. Definitely will stay here again or recommend this hotel to friends and families.

Room Tip: The location may be a little way out of the main business district but the view was great and the st...

Thank you for your review of the Aqua Lotus Honolulu. Your sentiments reflect what most guests comment on the most and what we consider the details that separate us from most hotels. Whether it be the excellent location, friendly and efficient staff or the number of value added amenities that are provided, this property will not let you down regardless the reason for your trip.

We are hard at work to improve our product offerings and services. In the past few weeks we have added Varisimo Espresso machines and new upgraded bed linens, added small touches to our evening turndown housekeeping service and a daily breakfast offering on our second floor. We are very near to announcing a much anticipated operator for our restaurant space that will change the culinary scene in Honolulu for years to come.

We hope to see you again very soon at our charming little hideaway on the Gold Coast.

Aloha,

Matt

I would definitely come back to this quiet small attractive hotel near Kapioloni Park, the aquarium, and Diamond head. As pointed out, there is no pool (a bit of problem when we learned we had landed during the "box jelly fish window", which precluded swimming two days (check the web when planning your trip to avoid these times, which coincide with the moon's cycle!). Nor is there a restauran. Other than two higher ends restaurants in the two hotels nearby, no place to eat for close to a mile. It was only the day we were checking out did we learn that they had started serving a limited breakfast in the prior weeks (no notice anywhere!). Fortunately this wasn't a problem for us, as we are members of an athletic club in Seattle, which gave us total priveleges to the Outrigger Club next door, where we lounged on the beach, and ate most meals (very reasonably priced). We did appreciate the extra details offered - coffee in the a.m., rotating flavors of infused ice water in the day, and wine from 4:00 to 6:00 - with lovely big wine glasses. A refrigerator in your room allows you to have your cereal, cheese and sandwich makings, should you choose... The hotel also offers thrice weekly morning yoga in the park across the street, which we enjoyed. And I have to say, after walking once to the hustle of Waikiki, we were very pleased to stay put. We are runners, and the park and Diamond Head gives both short and longer running routes. Beach chairs and towels were appreciated, and the fact the hotel wasn't right on the beach was no problem. It was a very short path between two other buildings to the uncrowded beach. We meant to borrow the cruiser bikes which were always available for a trip to Waikiki or to see residential area of Diamond Head, but never got around to it. The rooms were vary spacious (we did NOT have a corner with two balconies), and I loved all the storage space in the rattan type shelving in the bathroom. All of the employees were very pleasant and accomodating.

Originallly opened as a "W" this hotel has retained the cool and somehow added Hawaiian warmth.Great room, great beds, great views and best of all an oasis from the nearby insanity of Waikiki Beach.a 10 minute walk has you front an centerfor all of it but you will appreciate the peace and calm you can experience in and around this wonderful hotel.

A perfect location on the Diamond Head end of Waikiki. We loved being located at the quieter end of things, and being able to walk the shoreline (beach or sidewalk) to access the more crowded things. Our room was on the 12th floor, had a small balcony to the east, and larger one to the south... a great place to enjoy the morning or evening (with a sliver view of sunset to the west). The balconies also allowed a good cross-breeze between them in the room. The bed was extremely comfortable and overall the room was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The complimentary wine between 4 and 6 was also appreciated. We had a great time taking a glass of wine up to enjoy with crackers, cheese and fruit on the balcony (we provided those). Overall... we wished we had spent the full week here rather than finding another place in Kailua. You could easily stay here and have amazing day trip out and around the island... keeping this as the most comfortable place to sleep you could imagine.

Room Tip: I don't think you could go wrong... higher in the building is probably better.

The Aqua Lotus is ideally situated in Waikiki. You have access to a private beach area and are only a short distance from Diamond Head, Aquarium, Zoo & restaurants. I found the staff pleasant & helpful. The room was fantastic with a wonderful view of Diamond Head.

Super little boutique hotel. Great friendly service. Especially Travis the Bell Man. We thoroughly enjoyed the location, also. Very quiet at night, not so in the morning because the street is the main route to Diamond Head but shouldn't be sleeping in on holidays, anyway!
Great for couples who like to walk. Not great for people who don't want to walk. Wouldn't be good for families because (other than the super beach access and amenities the hotel provides) there is no pool or family friendly places. This is a good thing!
We walked into the waikiki area every day and usually more than once. Very pretty walk up to Diamond Head, too.
We used the fridge for snacks and beverages and light breaky foods. There is coffee in the lobby but I asked for and received a hotel style coffee maker so we could relax in the morning. The Internet was fabulous. We have business affairs which we have to keep abreast of and were able to with ease and not have to pay prohibitive fees!
All in all, a great little place! We will definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: We had read about the corner rooms and didn't ask for one but got one anyway. It was great but...

My wife and I along with my two adult daughters spent five days a t the Lotus. Every employee from the room service crew to the general manager is focused on the customer and intent on making their time in Honolulu a memorable one.

The property is tastefully decorated and well maintained, the rooms are large and the views of Diamond Head are spectacular. Its location at the Eastern end of Waikiki provides solace from the urban intensity of the Eastern end which is only a 15 minute walk or a short cab ride away.

The only negatives are the lack of a restaurant (the space is available but presently lacking a tenant...breakfast service is available) and a small fitness unit (however, yoga sessions in the park are available several days a week).

A wonderful property with excellent service provided by excellent people.

Room Tip: All rooms have a view of Diamond Head and the ocean
