“Great low cost hotel”

We plan on staying here again -- good location, nice staff, and it was refreshing to have a hotel room that wasn't corporate-generic. Kitchenette was very useful. And they provide ashtrays on the balconies. What more do regular folk need? See three my three pictures.

Room Tip: Our floor, the 5th, had larger balconies than the other floors. There's an elevator, and stairs...

The hotel itself looks like it used to be an apartment building and as such each room (I have stayed here twice) has a fridge, stove, basic kitchen utensils and a microwave. That being said, it is very basic. I would say it is slightly better than a youth hostel. However, we only paid $100 a night for 5 nights and it is only a 2-3 minute walk to Waikiki Beach.

If you are going to be out and about most of the time and just need a place to sleep, I would recommend it. Also, instead of spending a lot of money to eat out 3 times a day, we generally cooked 2 meals each day over 6 days.

Normally I stay in 3-4 Star hotels, but this was the last segment of our trip after being in Japan and we had already spent a considerable amount of $$$ there.

We had a room on the 5th floor and unfortunately right next to a loud party which went on until about 1:30 AM. Hotel policy clearly indicates QUIET hours after 10PM. We advised the resident manager of the situation, but they did not enforce the hotel policy nor resolve the issue. Deal breaker. Would not stay here again.

Stayed here for 2 weeks. Very friendly helpful staff. We used the office safe to store our cash and passports. No issues with that. So close to all the restaurants and the beach. Can walk to beach in 5 min. The room was spacious enough with kitchenette. Furniture in 403 was very outdated and the room badly needs a paint job, new curtains and new lamp. Bed very comfortable and clean. The room was reasonably clean but definitely room for improvement. Noisy as garbage trucks start pickup at 6:30 a.m. but otherwise ok. For a budget hotel it is great. Beach chairs, towels ect. aVailable for use for free. I would stay here again.

Room Tip: 403 outdated. But 404 has newer furniture and is same size. Elevator only goes to fifth floor. Stair...

Awesome location and great staff...
Room was nice size but definitely could use a few upgrades.
We were in a NON SMOKING room but could smell stale cigarette smoke...so maybe just engrained in furniture or carpets...but other was no issues.
Definitely would stay here again and will recommend to others...

The hotel itself is no frills, budget, in need of an aesthetic upgrade, but the rooms are comfortable enough and everything works. The location is superb, couldn't be better without water views. Staff are amazing, very helpful, friendly. They certainly do the best with what they have, which is absolutely fine for the price range.

Great location and friendly staff, but my bed was infested with bed bugs. I ended up getting 54 bites on my back, neck, arms, and face. These bites turned into swollen welts that itch around the clock. My vacation has been over for 3 days and I am still suffering from these bites. I wrote the staff 1 day after my vacation showing pictures of my numerous bites, but I haven't heard a word from them. My suggestion: there are other reasonable hotels in this area, so steer clear of the potential suffering from bed bugs at this hotel.
