I reserved the one king size Bed and the front desk offered us the one close to the elevator even though i told him ahead that i don't like close to elevator because of the noise. But he still insist to look at it because there are no available at the time. We went up and look at it and for sure i can hear the going up and down of the elevator. Another front desk Rep. help us to move to another room but the only available are all twin Beds. We had no other choice but to accept it.
Room is okay, but nothing fancy. The swimming pool and jacuzzi are all outdated and you would think first if you want to swim or stay on the jacuzzi because it look like the water is dirty. To sum it up, if you could get it at a cheaper price then its good because it is closer to the seashore.

This hotel is located right across the from the beach - so a great location however there is a terrible "bird house (pigeons)" directly across the street in the other direction so if you are not a pigeon lover - DO NOT STAY THERE!!! The hotel really should be doing more to get rid of those pests!

Room Tip: Be sure to ask for queued beds - the "double" are very small !!!

If you want to stay in a perfect location at a reasonable price In Waikiki, Pacific Beach Hotel is for you. My son and I stayed there last week and had a wonderful time. The hotel is located across the street from a very popular beach, near a car rental, restaurants, bus line (which became very important) and a park. It also included its own Dollar car rental, crepe and bakery joints, and an excellent concierge desk. The service was wonderful, fast and efficient. We had a view room and were able to see the beach from afar. However, they did tag on a $20 per day room fee that we weren't aware of when we booked through Expedia so you might want to check that in advance. They had a prime rib/crab leg buffet, but it was a pricey $45 for dinner. That may have been an OK price when you consider a nice meal, with coffee and dessert and tip would come close.

We have just returned from a wonderful week at the Pacific Beach Hotel where we were staying in an ocean view room at the top of the Beach Tower.

This hotel is right opposite Waikiki Beach and is a perfect location. It was in walking distance to everything we needed (shops, beach, food) and only a short bus ride to bigger shopping centres and attractions. We did not notice any traffic or surrounding noise from our room....just 2 nights where the room next 2 us were incredibly inconsiderate in yelling and carrying on with music playing all night.

The room was more than adequate. If you want something flash then pay for it elsewhere. If you want something that more than meets your needs...and lets be honest, how much time do you want to spend in your room in Hawaii...at a reasonable price, then stay here. We had 2 double beds and room was serviced daily as requested. Sure the hotel is a bit dated, but who cares. The bathroom has a shower and bath and the only problem we had was with a bath plug and even at 8pm at night it was fixed in a matter of minutes. There is a bar fridge, cupboard, tv and chairs in the room. The only thing missing for me was drawers big enough to put clothes into.

The pool is small but sufficient for cooling off, the spa was a good temperature and there were plenty of deck chairs surrounding. Both of us had a massage at the day spa. One was great, one was pretty good...except for having to request music and oil at the beginning.

We didn't eat in at the restaurant or BBQ on site so I cant comment on those, but we did enjoy browsing the shops, and it was great having an ABC store in the lobby. The wifi was also great and the staff were helpful and friendly.

The front of the hotel looks dated, but we were more interested in looking at the beach than the hotel.

If I had to have one complaint, and I didnt really consider it to be a big deal, then it would be the elevators. They are quite slow and often seem to stop at every floor even when no one is getting in.

All in all we had a great stay and couldn't have picked a better location. We would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: We were in Ocean view on 16th floor of Beach tower and it was perfect. Great view and no noise.

It was our first time in Hawaii and decided this would be great location wise! We were so happy with our stay! We arrived really early before check in and they were able to put our luggage in storage. Our room was really spacious for 2 people. Little bit dated in the room but we didn't mind as we weren't there to hang out in our room.
There is a service desk to book activities which makes life a lot easier. We found everyone who worked there so helpful! Highly recommend

Nice high floor room with ocean view! The Front Desk Staff was very friendly and helpful! Check in was very smooth. Complimentary spa water offered while waiting in line. Room was nice and clean! Bell staff was excellent and always greeted us as we walked by the valet parking area. Access to ABC Store from inside the hotel was very convenient...great for bottled water and snacks! Bell Staff gave excellent recommendations for "late night" dinner options. Must try the Side Street Inn for local fare (mac salad, pork chops & fried chicken) were outstanding! Hotel is located across the street from the beach! Did walk by the bar and heard the karaoke singers...no time to enjoy but it seemed like a fun place filled with lots of locals and tourists. Be sure to take photos from the lanai...

Mahalo Pac Beach!

Room Tip: Always ask the desk clerk if a room on a high floor is available. If not, let them know you can wait...

Older, outdated hotel. Bedding wasn't changed when it obviously needed to be. I shouldn't have had to call for sheets to be changed, especially after I tipped each day. Coffee cups only rinsed out, so I had to go to Mac 24/7 for a decent coffee, as I refuse to reuse dirty cup in room. Luckily, Mac 24/7 is a three-minute walk from hotel and serves hot coffee in giant mug.

Buffet was the only dining option in Aquarium Restaurant - too much money and food! Ordered swordfish to-go from the café for dinner one night and it was pretty good.

No ice machine on 8th floor - what a hassle to get on elevator to find ice.

The loudest, most inconsiderate group of guys directly above my room woke me up at 2:00am, every single morning. Front desk did nothing, but offered to move me. The rude people should've been forced to move, but I suspect the hotel staff didn't want to deal with the drunk people.

Thinnest walls and floors/ceilings ever. I heard every toilet flush, closing door, and step taken in all surrounding rooms.

Contrary to other reviews, the WiFi was free. Sad that WiFi was the best part of the hotel.

Room Tip: 860 is right off elevators, consider another location.
