“execllent hotel and place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2012

we have stayed at this hotel twice within the last 10 years and found it to be one of the best hotels to stay. the staff are wonderful and the main attraction is the two storey aquairium where you can sit while having you meals watching the tranquility of the fish swimming bye also the divers going in to fed the sharks. it is across the road from Wakiki beach where you can either relax or join in the actiivities.
Great Place.

“what a hole”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2012

stayed at Pacific Beach from 11/1 to 11/6 and would like to say what a hole!!!. Outdated rooms, bathroom very small and rusted. They also lie about hotels view. When they say ocean view that means your window will face to the parking with a little view of ocean and if you really want to ocean view you should ask them for facing ocean view and they charge for it $$$. Oceanarium they advertising is pretty much useless for average tourist, to get watching fishes you have to get into their restaurant/buffet which is VEEERY expensive (42$ per person) we were 5 people so I have to pay nearly 250$ to watch these fishes. Pool was cold. Overpriced hotel, recommend to look book another hotel for cheaper rate.

Room Tip: somewhere else but not this hotel

“Great Location & Value for Money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2012

This hotel has such a great location, right across the street from the beach at Waikiki and just outside the high-traffic area, but close enough to be in the thick of everything in just 2-3 minutes walk. With an ocean-front room this is just made even better, wonderful sized balcony with perfect sunsets every evening.

The hotel is clean, fresh, (if ever so slightly dated) and all staff are friendly and helpful. I don't understand any of the previous negative reviews. During our visit the majority of guests seemed to be from Japan. This gives the hotel a wonderful atmosphere of actually being somewhere "exotic" and gives the added bonus of green tea in the rooms.

Would I stay here again? Definiteky!
Was I content with the stay? Absolutely.
Would I recommend this hotel to a friend? Yes, yes, yes!

Room Tip: We stayed in room 1025, an "end" room facing the beach with a balcony view in two directio...

“pac beach hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

The hotel was good, it is right in the middle of everything on wakiki beach- you can shop 5 mins after leaving the hotel and of course the beach is right across the street. We had great maid service beds were made with clean sheets and they provide beach towels so no need to pack beach towels. We stayed on the 9th floor and the only drawback was our room backed up to the elevator,it was a little annoying at times but hey we were in Hawaii so we didnt care. They did charge $20/ night for parking which is weird since you already paid for the room. You have to remember which floor you park on in the parking garage and you cannot get to the inside of the hotel from the parking garage elevators which was a pain if you had packages...we had a complimentary b-fast every morning even thou it was the same everyday we ate it. They do cater to Asia/Japenese but then again the whole island is full of them and they tend to be rude, dont say excuse me when they walk into you or cross over in front of you. Overall we plan on returning in the future and would stay at Pac Beach again. P.S NO FREE WIFI!

“OK HOTEL, NASTY OVERPRICED FOOD”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

Ocean front rooms have a nice view of the beach, and of the street bums camped out on the park benches. The hotel is across the street from the beach. The food is overpriced the bbq is served cold, and the breakfast buffet is terrible. Expect to pay $20 a day for parking, and $10 a day for wired internet. Also the elevator in the beach tower is very slow and no A/C, all in all skip Waikiki and head for the north shore....
