Went for my son's wedding, Lots of family and friends stayed here. Loved this hotel, two pools, bean bag floats, cabanas, great service at the pool. Room was great, shops and food places in the open air lobby!!

We stayed at the Sheraton Waikiki in March 2015. We had some amazing days around the Infinity Pool. Our days at the pool were made even better because of the great customer service from Jonesy. Make sure you ask Jonesy for the frozen grapes and cool face cloths on those beautiful Hawaiian days. Thanks Jonsey for the great days around the pool with me, my wife, my teenage boys and niece!

I stayed at the Sheraton Waikiki In 2011, with my Mom, were originally from Waikiki and returned for a girls only escape. The rooms are fairly basic (all rooms in Hawaii are - think wicker furniture) the rooms were very clean and I had a great view from the lanai, I couldn't fault the location, beach front access was fantastic and the beach view from the pool were amazing! The staff were friendly and helpful the entire time.

Stayed here in late August. Perfect time of year because most kids are back in school so Waikiki Beach is not as crowded as the summer vacation time. This resort is smack on the water front in a great part of that beach. The ocean-view rooms are only separated from the beach by the pool and pool bar. When out on your lanai you can feel the warm breeze, smell the salt air and watch the boats sail by. Sunrise and sunsets can be enjoyed from your private room lanai.
Hotel is large, several stores in lobby and a market that caters to Asian delicacies and magazines. Upscale decor makes it feel a little like a mall in the lobby. It was nice to know that everything was at your fingertips if you need it. There is a good assortment of restaurants on the property, but only had their buffet in the morning. The Rum Fire Bar and pool bar are fine for one drink but nearby bars offer much more. Quality of their bar drinks is not as good as others.
Found great deals for the Sheraton on SPG site but was alerted to the best one by calling their reservations desk directly. They beat the SPG deals! Book an ocean-view room here. Inside of rooms are minimalist modern, a bit dated but not at all bad. Very clean and quiet. Nice size bathroom with shutters that can open to the rest of the room and view of the ocean. Beware that the Rum Fire bar is noisy at night. If you want total quiet ask for opposite end of the building or keep the lanai door shut. The breakfast plan is worth it. A scrumptious buffet of American classics, an omelet bar, Hawaiian specialties and a full Asian buffet served up with an amazing view near the pool.
The kid's pool is on the other side of the hotel so the ocean front area is mainly populated with adults. Service in the hotel was very accommodating.
Walking through Waikiki is easy from here. Next door is the iconic Royal Hawaiian and their famous Mai Tais. You can sign on your Sheraton room number, they're also an SPG property. On the opposite side of the Sheraton is the Halekulani "House Without a Key" outside patio bar.
Walk out the main entrance of the Sheraton and you end up in the middle of Waikiki! Go in any direction and explore. No need for a rental car if staying here. You can book one for the day if you plan a journey to other sites around Oahu.

Room Tip: Get an ocean view room on the lower floors 4-8? Proximity is the closest to the beach that way. Quie...

We stayed here for two nights at the beginning of an 8 day vacation on Oahu and Maui last week. While the rooms are not "five star" (Ritz, Cloister, etc.), ours was comfortable, quiet, clean, and had an AMAZING view of Diamond Head. The location was very convenient to many restaurants in Waikiki and the staff was very accommodating to us on our 25th anniversary trip. See the picture from my balcony...it's worth more than a thousand words!

Room Tip: We were in room 2845...rooms on that wing would share the view.

We stay for a week in the Sheraton Waikiki on our way home from a golfing holiday to Las Vegas. We had a limited ocean view room forthe first 4 days on the 26th which was nice and for the las t3 nights i upgraded to an ocean view suite on the 10th floor which was amazing with a better than 180 degree view of the whole of Waikiki and Diamond head we were also given the use use of the club lounge for breakfast and evening drinks which is nice to have. The hotel does have a resort charge which if you are not using the full resources of the hotel can seem a little pricey. We were mainly shopping, Relaxing and dining out so for us the location was and is perfect. The staff are all very friendly and good at the their jobs.

Hotel is massive in terms of room count and doesn't seem to have the facilities to match. Room was comfortable but this hotel is really starting to show its age. Pool area struggles to cope with volume of people, sun beds all taken up by 9-10am on a weekend and in the pool at times is standing room only. Avoid breakfast, very basic. I Question the Star Rating of this hotel. If your an Aussie save yourself the 9 hour flight and head to the Sunshine Coast / Gold Coast instead. On a positive note, Save head for the chicken wings poolside for lunch or an afternoon snack, they are a winner.
