Pros:
The hotel is 2-3 blocks away from the Waikiki beach, which you can take a stroll over and enjoy swimming in the protected area in Waikiki beach. Great for families with small kids.
The hotel also offers free breakfast: sausage & egg bagels, variety of juices and cereals, oatmeal and rice.
The hotel is very clean and remodeled with modern furnishings
Cons:
Parking is 25 dollars per day. We had an incident with the valet where we called for getting our car. The front desk picked up the call and agreed to relay the message. We waited 30 minutes and haven’t seen our car. Finally talked to the Valet service. They were not aware of our request.
We stayed in a room with 2 queen beds. The room setting is configured like a studio. The sink is in the same area where the bed is without a closed door, which was not very good for families having early risers.
The bathroom configuration is very crammed - you can barely squeeze in to use the toilet and bath tub.

This Hyatt exceeded all my expectations. It was our first trip to Honolulu and I couldn't have asked for a more welcoming hotel staff. Being Canadian and working in a hotel in Vancouver, I know a few things about great hospitality, but boy did the staff at the Hyatt blow me away. On top of that; the rooms were modern and spotless, the breakfast was delicious and the location was perfect. Great job!

The rooms are compact. That's not to say small. They are nice and adequate. We found them just right for our stay. Like the caption says, you won't spend much of your awake time in a hotel room when on Waikiki, so why spend extra? The staff was very courteous and helpful.

Have searched and visited many Waikiki hotels for a family of 6 and based on bedroom configurations, I recommend this hotel for a family of 5 or 6 as the best value. Whereas other hotels will require two rooms, this hotel you can do with one room saving hundreds of dollars. It is only a 2 block walk from the beaches of Waikiki - just perfect!
