We arrived at the Manoa Valley Inn after a 10 hour flight from Atlanta 3 couples.
It is a typical B&B old and worn down initial meeting with owner was verry nice.
When we were showed our rooms only 1 had Airconditioning and the other 2 had fans
with ecxtension cords running on the floors, we were not impressed and the owner
said they could find us other accomodations. We discussed this with other couples and said
we would give it a chance. After coming back in the evening my wife tried to take a shower
and the water just dribbled out took her an hour to shower and the shower head kept dripping all night. We apprised the staff of the water problem the next morning and were told that the maintenace man would fix it. Comming back in the afternoon still a dribble of water and the fix
for the leaking shower head was to close the handle so tight that you could hardley open it.
I expressed my dissatisfaction to the owner and an hour later was told that all 3 couples
would have to leave. The owner did find us a great Hotel on the beach and everything worked out.

The Manoa Valley Inn is a great place to stay on Oahu. The owners Jenna and Mark really go out of their way to make you feel at home. They have spent much money upgrading the place and it shows.

It's comfortable, beautiful and inviting. Jenna and Mark are wonderful people and go out of their way to make one's stay a very memorable one. If you're looking for a special place to stay on Oahu, this is it!!!

Host Mark Glen and his wife are doing a fabulous job of restoring the grand Manoa Valley Inn, a legendary landmark of old Honolulu. Mark’s dining recommendations were spot on, from the Tsenuke to Buzz's to Bigger Burgers. The beautiful Guild Suite that we called home for four days epitomized Victorian grandeur and was perfectly comfortable and welcoming. Buffet breakfasts on the lanai, enfolded in tropical greenery while enjoying distant views of city skyscrapers, was a tranquil way to start each day. Having spent many, many vacations in Waikiki hotels, the Manoa Valley Inn is the only place we’ll stay during future visits.

This place is a lovely return to a graceful era and the hosts have to be the hardest working people in the business....and fun as well. More importantly, it is set in Manoa Valley, close to the U of Hawaii and one of the seasonably coolest spots in Honolulu. There is a reason the Alii stayed in Manoa!

We started in the small detached unit and, through the graciousness of the hosts, moved to the main building. The detached unit, set amidst an explosion of flowers and gardens, is still a bit impacted by an adjoining apartment as far as sound. Not so the main house.

The hosts were extremely helpful. They even went so far as to recommend an acupuncturist when my wife had some back issues. They were careful to schedule work on the home (they are fixing up after a recent purchase) to times when we were gone or not napping.

There is a lovely pool and spectacular breakfasts. In all, I wouild certainly stay here again.
