“Close to the beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2013

Stayed here for 4 nights and it's totally worth the money. You stay close to the beach and there are several stores just located around the hotel.

You got a guest laundry on floor 2 (1.75 washing / 1.25 drying), a sauna and exercise room (pretty well equipped and everything was working as intended) on floor 3 and on floor 27 a roof top swimming pool (it's no joke!). The view from the roof top is breathtaking.

The room is well sized. You get plenty of towels (shower, beach ... ). I had a fridge, a coffee maker and a toaster in the kitchen along with some dishes . For 1-2 persons more than fine! The bed is hidden in the wall so you gain place during the day (although it's not really necessary .)

The reception is manned 24/7 so an early checkout is not a big deal. Unfortunately there is no shuttle to the airport (at least I didn't found it) so a taxi cost around 40$ (without tip).

If I ever come back to Honolulu I will stay here again!

Room Tip: get a room above floor 18 and try to get a room with ocean view. I had room 1909 and only could see...

Easy access to the shopping, beaches and great restaurants. Small pool, but adequate with the beach close by. 1 bedroom, 2 baths, wall bed and sofa bed accommodated all of us. Kitchenette was helpful.

OMG. The price was not right. Valet parking 25.00 per day. Fees and taxes took equal to 60% of the stay. That is imperial piracy. A convection oven-who uses a convection oven? How about a microwave. A coffee pot from the Mayflower. Our room was supposed to be a resort, oh well, no refrigerator, and oh yes, we ended up in a studio. The valet scratched up the rental vehicle and had the audacity to ask me if I wanted to make a police report. I would have mad3e a report to the police, if I would have sufficient time to get to my flight. In Honolulu, you have to have your boarding pass 90 minutes before your flight. There wasn't anything good to say about this place.

Room Tip: Choose someplace else to stay at all costs.

Stayed two nights to see 4th of July fireworks at Magic Island. The view from the 26th floor was incredible. Room amenities were a nice surprise-set up like a studio timeshare. If you are looking to spread out and spend a lot of time in your room - this room was not the place. For me and a friend it was perfect - one block from the beach and two from Waikiki main st - Kalakaua Ave. Restaurants and shops nearby and Waikiki Trolley was great.

Room Tip: You may want to specify mountain side or ocean side facing Ala Moana Beach. 26th floor is the top f...

Our stay here was great. It was the nicest hotel suite we ever had, and the price was great. It's a one block walk to the beach, and restaurants all over the place. Parking was free then, but I understand that all the hotels in Waikiki charge for parking now. Too bad. I think it's because of the poor economy, and they are looking to make another buck. It's just like the airlines now, charging for every little service they can. Customer service is less important than the bottom line. They forget that customer service is where they separate the men from the boys. Repeat business will last only so long, before customers start looking for friendlier service.

Room Tip: Try to get an east side view of Diamond Head, and the higher the room, the better.

We stayed here for 2 nights on our return from Maui to Australia and thought that value for money was pretty good.We were on the 7th floor with a partial view of the ocean (but mostly the hotel next door). It is right next door to an ABC store a minutes walk to the beach and central to all the shops, buses etc. The staff are very friendly and helpful the only downfall is the bed. We had a room with a murphy bed and it is really too small. Hubby and I each took a turn sleeping on the sofa as the pull down bed is in between a king single and a double bed so if you both want a good night sleep then a room with the murphy bed is not for you. Bathroom is really tiny smaller than bathrooms in Singapore and that is saying something however it is still do-able. They only service your room every few days but we were only there for 2 so no big deal and you have to pay for wifi. You pay for what you get here at this hotel and even though there are a few features that we didn't like we still would come here simply for the location and the COST.

Room Tip: Don't get a room with a murphy bed (pull down from the wall) not big enough unless you want to p...
