I have stayed at many various types of accomidations this is one of the worst. First off the room smelled of urine, contained old furniture, and is in need of remodeling. From the time you entered the room the smell of urine/funk hits you. The furniture was very old, no TV in bedroom, and housekeeping did the minimum when it came to cleaning and bed making.
Be cautious when using Resortquest Monarch's parking lot. Resortquest states the parking lot is privately maintained by ProPark Parking Management. Propark charges $12 for 24 hours of parking. If you forget to pay the $12 for another 24 hours and place it on the dash beware. We inadvertently forgot to place the newly purchased parking stub on the dash to replace the expired one and our rental car was towed. No warning! After paying $220 towing fee and the $35 cab ride I was obviously fuming mad! The parking stub on our dash was only expired for slightly less than 24 hours and the car was towed. I talked to a ProPark supervisor who told me there was nothing they could do.
After my wallet was $255 lighter and getting my rental car back, I was left with a makeshift parking ticket from ProPark which specifies that they can give warnings. The only warning I received was a 1 1/2 hour warning! They are taking advantage of tourist to Honolulu.
I also talked to one of the hotel workers and was informed they are aware of the problem. This hotel needs to step up and advise their patrons of the issue as well as have a system where they notify the customers. Most hotels ask what type of car/license plate number just in case there is a problem. That way if there is an issue with a patron's vehicle they could be notified and not get zapped for $220!!! Resortquest needs to do more make a tourist visit more appealing.
Never will I ever stay at another ResortQuest again. I would advise you to think twice if you are thinking of staying here.
