“Best Customer Service Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2013 via mobile

This hotel has a very friendly and always smiling staff, even on all shifts. The staff was kept us locally informed of any events or upcoming weather. Every member treated the guest in a concierge style. Front desk Michael Du was exceptionally customer service friendly and exceeded the basic guest principles. He had us laughing and warm to our family every day. I was then impressed with the cleanliness of the room. I saw no bugs or stains in sheets. Everyday the room seemed to be cleaned for the perfect guest. Location is right where it needs to be in town with McDonald's and Starbucks about a block away. Well done.

We stayed only 1 night at Aqua Waikiki Wave and both my wife and I were really impressed by this hotel. It is a really good quality hotel for the price, the room was clean and big, the location is great but what I will always remember is the great service provided. We had a kind of unusual request and the staff did more than what we were expected to help us. A special thank you to Evelyn.
I definitely recommend this hotel, you cannot go wrong by choosing it.

From when I had my baby ... I contacted lynette and George directly and I was booked in and ready to return to my favourite holiday destination. they were amazing and had everything locked in and organised for my family...

this was our first family holiday with our 5 month old son. the flight alone from Sydney was a bit daunting let alone thinking about where you will stay and how the room will be set up to make the holiday period easy... well im glad we returned to this hotel once again!

anyone with a baby knows you need to steralise the bottles, get food ready etc... trust me when I say the leading hotels don't have microwave or the area to do this in let alone a fridge big enough to store bottles and food in. so please do think of this hotel if your travelling as a family.

upon arrival and a long flight our room was ready and we could get comfy and settle in. the staff were absolutely amazing and made us feel at ease and that we were at our second home (we wish)

from the moment we arrived james was fabulous and brought up our luggage in a instance which is important with a bub (no waiting here unlike at other hotels!) amazing Michael checked us in and welcomed us back like we were family along with the other staff. It truly makes coming here that much easier knowing that all the staff at this hotel are always there and happy to help with everything. a million thanks to Darryl who was always there to help us take our son down those stairs in his stroller!

the room was perfect - babys cot was made, beds were there and enough space to make the three of us not feel cramped in for 3 weeks there when I think back to other hotels (again - this was our 13th trip to the islands as a married couple and we have stayed all over ohau)

I was so panicked when I thought about having to pack a portacot from here but thank fully this hotel has them. all I brought was babys blankey for him to have... (great tip - thanks George)

our room servicer Marilyn was great, always providing plenty of fresh towels and always giving us additional time each day to get bubs nap in or do what we needed. she was amazing when bubs wet the bed, pulling off all the bedding to ensure everything was perfect for us.

the hotel was in the perfect location for us with a pram to jump on the bus or trolley which was great getting us to local resteraunts as well as shops. the staff were always super helpful when we needed a cab - we never had to wait more than a few more visits.

the shops are nearby and you are two minute walk to the main strip and a skip hop and jump away from Waikiki beach were we spent so much time. we didn't have to worry about packing and dragging beach towels around from home as they were provided by the hotel each day. there is a pharmacy and the local abc steps away so you can grab all your food items and anything that you forgot to pack.

its down the laneway from macys which is open till 11pm as well as my favourite store ROSS ... you must visit this store. so when bub went to sleep - mum went shopping! if your a fan of the cheesecake factory - 2 mins walk away.

they have complimentary coffee and water during the day which was great as we could grab coffees to go and the newspaper and be on our way each day. they helped us find a Laundromat to get our washing done which was great and in the sister property the pearl.
there is also free wifi ( whereas resorts / hotels will charge $20 up per day for this ) which made it so easy to Skype with family and get our next days activities organised.

the beds were great - super soft so we all got a good night sleep each night ... we even got extra pillows as im a nut and sleep on 4! nothing was a drama or too hard for the team here!

ive read other comments about the lifts being slow and guess what they are all brand new and working perfectly !!

after spending 21 nights there we were so sad to go but im already picking my next dates in feb to return here and we are bringing another young couple with us who have a baby at around the same age as our son as it was just easy...

I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone travelling with kids and needing that extra space as this place has got it! you wont get this anywhere else or the help / assistance from the friendly team anywhere else on the island.

we cant wait to return in feb 14! Lets get me booked in :)

we love the entire team - George, issac, trina. james, jamar, Michael, tasi (from pearl) lynette, Darryl, gabe and everyone else ... xxx

di & sash & baby mason

Room Tip: corner rooms are really sunny - but your in Hawaii and the sun always shines bright!

This was an awesome hotel. I appreciate what some are saying as to noise but this close to the beach and the market and the night life yes their will be noise tbh if you expected different it's kind of your fault. This is a brilliant hotel.

You won't find more helpful and friendly staff . They will go above and beyond at the drop of a hat just really nice people.

Rooms were clean and comfortable and of a good size with nice balconies to sit out on. Our view was great with the city and hills on one side and the sea (just about) on the other.

Close to everything and a good price we will be back

We had a fabulous time and were very impressed with the hotel, room and especially the staff.

I don’t remember the bellman’s name, but there was one gentleman that stood out as one who goes above and beyond. Not only was he (and the rest of the front desk) always smiling, they were extremely helpful and knowledgeable too. The concierge was also very informative, she even suggested when we should go to Hanuma Bay to avoid the crowds.

We had a fabulous time and we are already looking forward to visiting Honolulu again!

Room Tip: If you can, stay on the 14th floor. It was quiet and relaxing.

My wife and I stayed there for 3 nights.

Positive: Double rooms are basic, clean, old fashion. The hotel is okay, good location 15 min walk from Waikiki beach. You have a lots of restaurants, bars and shops in the street. Staff is friendly.

Negative:
The street at night is not the best. My wife and I saw a lots of prostitutes, young guys trying to sell drugs and even fights at night so be aware.

I stayed at the Aqua Waikiki Wave for 5 nights and really enjoyed my experience! The hotel is a few blocks from the beach. There are tons of restaurants (including Murakame Udon across the street...always a line out of the door, delicious, and cheap!), bars, night clubs, and shopping within walking distance. If you want to explore Oahu, there are bus stops within the same block and you can get anywhere on the island easily. The staff was AMAZING! They were extremely nice and accommodating. The bellman was especially friendly and gave us recommendations everyday for restaurants and tourist attractions. Our room was HUGE! We had two balconies (one facing Diamond Head and the other facing the ocean). Our room was always very clean and the beds were so comfortable. The hotel is not as fancy as some of the nearby resorts but it was awesome. I would totally stay there again and recommend it to everyone. My only complaint is that there is not a swimming pool. That really didn't bother me because I rather the ocean but I can imagine it being a problem for others.

Room Tip: Ask for a suite. It was only $10 extra a night, tons of space, and on a higher floor. We stayed on t...
