My wife and I ate at Roy's Waikiki Beach on our last night in Honolulu. It is located at the end of of the Beach Walk along Lewer St. We had not made reservations so did not have a table. However, when I told the receptionist that this was our last night, she graciously found us seats on the sushi bar inside.
We just wanted to try out the famous specialties of Roy's. These were the Blue Crab Cakes and the Macadamia Encrusted Mahi Mahi. The food was attractive to look at, and more importantly, delicious to eat! The crab cakes were very finely made. The sauce of the mahi mahi was so rich and tasty, and the macadamia added that distinct taste and texture.
The food was expensive. The Crab Cakes cost about $16 per order. There were only 2 cakes per order. The Mahi Mahi cost $29 per order. There were 2 pieces of mahi mahi per order. But the food tasted amazing, and well worth the hefty price tags.
