Owner description: One of the principal Pearl Harbor Historic Sites, our unique interactive museum is located near the Battleship Missouri in the battlefield hangers of historic Ford Island which were attacked by the Imperial Japanese Navy on December 7, 1941, the beginning of WWII.Aircraft, such as a Japanese Zero and the Stearman in which former President George H.W. Bush soloed as the war’s youngest aviator, illustrate how aviation helped stem the war. You’ll view historic videos, including a movie of the beginning of the war. Enjoy the authentic gift shop, 1940s themed café Laniakea, and the combat flight simulators in which you can virtually fight the battle of Guadalcanal in either an American or Japanese plane.Pacific Aviation Museum’s mission is to develop and maintain an internationally recognized aviation museum, which educates young and old alike, honors aviators and the support personnel who defended freedom in the Pacific Region, and is dedicated to preserving Pacific aviation history.

“Nice little Museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2012

I love airplanes and airplane museums.
I'd wanted to visit the Pacific Aviation Museum since it opened but hadn't been able to until last week.
The best thing about this museum is that you can get really close to the planes and helicopters.
Touch them, sit in them, have you picture taken with them.
The hanger still has bullet holes from the December 7th Attack on Pearl Harbor.
This place is history not just a museum about history.
The tour guide was spot on with his tour dates and facts. My wife listened and learned tons about the pacific theater during the second world war.
I am looking forward to visiting with my kids and parents next time.

“Somewhat disappointing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2012

After visiting the Air and Space Museum in Washington and the Canadian Air and Space Museum in Ottawa, this Museum was a bit of a disappointment, but if you've never seen vintage planes, you will probably find it quite interesting. The price of $20 per person was steep for what was there... the location was farthest from the Visitor Centre - you have to take a bus (no extra charge for that).

“Wow!!”

The museum was so neat and should be even better after expand it within a few years. The planes are all in great shape and seeing George Bush's plane was good. Also the restaurant served good food.

“Great Museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2012

This is one of the newer attractions in the Pearl Harbour area.
If you are a plane buff and even if you are not it is really worth a visit. It is a great attraction for young and old and they have a great shop that is quite reasonable in price.
