“Convenient, and good location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2013

This place is extremely convenient due to the breakfast buffet included with the room (of course it's overpriced to include the food costs). It's great for a family with kids, as you'll save about $50 in food per day. They also have happy hour in the evening from 5pm to 7pm where they give you free alcohol and snacks.

It's only located a 2 minute walk to the beach, and there are tons of restaurants nearby. The pool is okay, but doesn't get a ton of sun, due to the buildings blocking it, but the attached kiddy pool is good, as I know some pools in Hawaiian hotels are pretty horrendous.

Parking is expensive here, so do not rent a car to park it over night. If you need a rental car, just rent it for the day.

The only complaint is the value. The price of the rooms are a bit much, unless you factor in the breakfast, and have large appettites.

What a show! They have a free Hula Dance show on Saturday December 29.
The show was spectacular. The performers were from kids around 4 years old to adults in their 50s. They all performed well. They danced everything from the slow paced Hula to the fast paced tahitian dance. best of all was free.
They have free appetizers (they call it "pupus") I purchased 2 Mai Tai for the duration of the show

Aloha and mahalo for posting a delightful review! Our Manager's Reception is very popular with many of our guests especially when entertainer, Roland Chang invites his family to share with our guests the music and dance of Polynesia! Music, complimentary drinks and nibbles...what a great recipe for a grand time at Embassy Suites Waikiki! Thank you for taking the time to share with us your Embassy Experience.
Until we meet again!
Aloha!

Great central location in Waikiki and everything within our grasp. We had a 2 bedroom apartment and travelling with a teenager was accommodating as plenty of space for all. The rooms are well maintained and serviced, and the views nice to look out over with distance view of ocean. Shopping is on the doorstep and its great to stroll about of an evening, with the trade winds cool breeze. A full breakfast each day inclusive was delightful and there was a managers reception of an evening with complimentarty drinks, nibbles and entertainment provided. We enjoyed returning "home" after our days out.

Cheers to you and thank you for choosing Embassy Suites Waikiki to spend your family holiday! It is our honor that many of our guests travel far to spend valuable time with each other on this enchanted island. We are delighted that we can provide a spacious, clean and comfortable apartment for all especially families. The remarkable list continues as our location is one of the best in Waikiki with literally footsteps away from the beach, restaurants and shops. Starting the day with an amazing comp brekkie and coming back "home" to be entertained and given a choice of assorted drinks at our cheery Manager's Reception....is truly wonderful. Thank you again for spending time with us at our own "Gold Coast" and we look forward towards your next holiday with us. Until then.....aloha a hui hou!

Stayed in the two bedroom suite with a family of five -- considered it a good value over the Christmas holiday as it included a full breakfast, manager's reception in the evening with snacks and beverages, and was only a short block from the beach. A very good location and had several highly-rated restaurants within a short walking distance. Our room was nicely appointed, in excellent condition, clean, and quiet. Staff was friendly and accomodating. Would definitely recommend!!

we were expecting wonders when we booked this hotel online 3-4 months prior to our stay. it didn't let us down. the service was great and best we have enjoyed for sometime, the staff at breakfast we friendly always regardless of the mass we left behind. the room was spacious and our two year old loved the space to play in. we booked a partial ocean view room and got this room on the 31st floor so that was great. the thing we enjoyed most was the service of the staff , from reception to porter, dinning staff to tour booking staff, all were great and hats off for the great work they doing.oh and we checked in at around 6 in the morning but since our room was ready they let us use it...that was a BIG plus with a sleeping kid.

This was our lovely home for 7 nights and 8 lovely days in Waikiki and we had a ball. We were welcomed with some lovely nonalcoholic punch when we arrived. We stayed in the hula tower but was unfortunate to have a low floor (2nd) so the views from the balcony were not that great. We had a very close eye view of Denny's restaurant. Fortunately we spent very little time in the room to enjoy the balcony views so it didn't matter. The hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly. The location is superb right smack in the middle of everything. Honestly this hotel wasn't my first choice especially since its particularly known for being a "family" hotel and we were three single ladies. I was concerned about being run over by children but there weren't a lot until it got closer to the weekend. I really wanted to stay in the Sheraton which was right across the street from our hotel and ON the beach. However, the breakfast buffet and NO daily resort fees were definitely the deal breakers and it didn't disappoint. The breakfast buffets in the morning were absolutely on point. We pigged oops I meant ate lovely every morning. From the freshly made omelette's or cereal, fruits it was a nice selection that saved you money daily. The pool looked a little small and we never got a chance to enjoy it because we were too busy living it up on the beach. The hotel didn't have a lot of stores inside but it really didn't need them because everything you needed from clothes, restaurants or the ABC stores and 7/11 were literally steps away. Unfortunately, we missed the managers reception the entire time we were there from enjoying Oahu. We had our share of the water in the lobby filled with fruit and ice which was needed. We used the business center which had about 4 computers to book our excursions and used Discover Hawaii which I will review later. Overall, we had a great time at this hotel and I would definitely return.

Free drinks and live 4 piece band that rocks!! Check out the ukelele playing - awesome. Rooms were well set out - plenty of room.Very clean. Our 1 bedroom suite had queen and double bed and a sofa bed which had sheets provided. Microwave available - but no dishes/utensils. ABC store across the road offered meals that could be then taken back to the room. Avoid booking a room on the 4th floor of the Hula Tower as this is the main entrance way to the pool and eating area. Need room cards to activate elevators, so make sure you get enough for each guest to avoid getting caught. Hotel is a block back from the beach but not a hassle to get to it. Can also walk to Ala Moana if your feeling energetic (20 mins) - nice along the beach. Complimentary breakfast a real bonus. Avoid the 9am rush - earlier is far more relaxed and there is less standing in queues. Kitchenette has an electric jug as well as coffee maker - great for tea drinkers , and a sink,so you don't have to wash up in the bathroom. Didn't use the pool area as we preferred to swim in the surf, but it looked suitable for young families. Fairly good value for money - but somewhat pricey for the Christmas period - as all places would be. Taxi trip to airport was approx $37. Limo service was same rate as a taxi
