The service and stay was very good, given the reputation of the Embassy Suites line. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good, with omelettes cooked with guest-selected ingredients. The stay was comfortable.

We were close to the elevator on a lower floor, but the noise was negligible. We wished we would be been on the higher floor, of course.

One problem had to do with the breakfast area. There are a lot of pigeons preying on uneaten breakfast, which becomes unsightly on the weekdays when they are fighting for the morsels. We tend to sit further away from others so this feeding frenzy doesn't affect us while eating.

Overall, the stay was excellent. It is close to the Waikiki beach walk, which is safe for tourist and convenient for relaxing on the beach as well as tourist shopping. Location was excellent, even though it was a block in from the beach.

Very good hotel, larger rooms than most in the area and the inclusive (free) breakfast is a huge plus. The breakfast is wonderful, full hot meal with made to order omelets. Very friendly and helpful staff. Right in the middle of the city so lower rooms hear a lot of traffic noise. Try and stay on the higher floors if you want more quiet. Like all of the hotels in Waikiki, they charge way too much for parking and it is valet only. Some hotels give you a less expensive option by allowing yout to park yourself. There might also be less expensive alternatives some where else, like a parking garage. I did not have time to look into other option.

It is a little tired and the decor is dated. But it actually looks better in person than the promotional shots online. The suites are a good size. The beds were SO comfortable. The buffet breakfast had a variety of options.The hotel is certainly good value for money. The postiton is great. Everything is within easy walking access. But beware of the taxes, ours weren't included and there were 2 added at check out which were unexpected and increased the daily rate considerably.

My husband and I stayed at embassy suites waikiki beach walk (11/28 - 12/01) at room 1532 at the hula tower for our wedding anniversary & christmas shopping as well.. When we get to the hotel around 10:30 in the morning,we had a warm welcome at the front desk and gave us cold fruit juice and check us in (no long wait) so fast.. Our room was ready - one king bed suite, ocean view, lanai in which you can overlook the pool & breakfast area. Excellent location because it is near shopping and dining area in which you can just walk in. We take the city bus #8 when we go to ala moana shopping center which is about 5-10 minutes ride and $2.50 per person roundtrip. The hotel price is just right because you get complimentary breakfast,managers reception at night,complimentary wifi,newspaper everymorning,yoga classes every friday,saturday (if im not mistaken) and a lot more.. Our housekeeper did a GOOD JOB in our suite too.. Thank you so much to you & the staff of Embassy Suites coz we really enjoyed our stay..See you again hopefully next month (pro bowl season)..
