“Absolute Best Vacation!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2012

We stayed here on our trip to Honolulu for our son's wedding. the room was very nice and clean...We loved the lanai with the pool and hot tub. The breakfast each morning was wonderful with sooo many choices. We especially loved the fruit and the made to order omelettes. Yes the birds were a little bit annoying and bold...but there was an indoor room to dine if if you chose to do so. I loved eating my breakfast outdoors. We enjoyed the manager's reception I liked looking out the window at night and watching all of the people walking about. Great location...directly accross the street from the beach and on the backside we were attached to great shops and restaurants...walking distance from everything. The staff were very friendly. I will stay here again next year and would definetely recommend to friends and family.

We stayed in the Embassy Suites Waikiki Beach for 6 nights. The 2-bedroom, 2-bath suite offered plenty of room and privacy for me, my husband and my in-laws. Upon our arrival, each of us were greeted with a glass of guava juice and received attentive service from registration, valet, and bell staff. We were pleasantly surprised when we checked into the top floor corner suite, Room 2103. Our room had a king bed in each bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room. Each of the three suite balconies offer expansive views of Diamond Head. Another benefit of staying on the top floor was there was very little noise from busy Kalakalua Avenue down below.

Each morning, we were treated to a full breakfast buffet on the grand lanai consisting of cooked to order eggs and omelettes (I like mine over easy), bacon, rice, miso soup, cereals, breads and pastries, yogurt, salad, traditional and tropical juices, coffee and tea, and a changing variety fresh tropical fruit, potatoes, sausages, pancakes, and french toast. The friendly staff kept the buffet area stocked and clean as well as promptly took away dirty dishes from tables. The pool and spa on lanai was cozy, but offered enough room for a refreshing dip and relaxing time in the spa. The location was central to restaurants and shopping, and a block away from Waikiki Beach.

I would recommend this hotel to families and those traveling in groups.

We stayed at the Waikiki Embassy Suites for 8 nights in October 2012 and had a wonderful time. As with all Embassy Suites, you get free breakfast, free cocktails, and separate bedroom suites. Breakfast was good with a good selection of fruit, meat (bacon, sausage, etc.), breads, and omelettes. The birds are slightly annoying, but it was nice to eat outside. The manager's reception also offers some basic snacks (chips, pretzels, peanuts, vegetables) and adult beverages (beer, wine, mixed drinks, and tropical cocktails). The free drinks definitely taste great after a long day at the beach.

We were pleasantly surprised by the location, entertainment, and people. The hotel is located one block from the beach so it was very convenient to walk back and forth. Nearby restaurants include The Yardhouse, Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, Starbucks, PF Changs, and many others.

The hotel provides free entertainment on certain nights during happy hour. We really enjoyed the band made up of a dad and his 3 sons. They played a wide selection of great songs, ranging from the 1960's (Beatles) to the 2010's (Gotye, fun, etc.) and everything in between. They even put their own Hawaiian spin on each song.

All of the employees were very friendly and made our stay extra nice, especially Jeff at the Bell Desk. He went out of his way to enhance our experience on multiple occasions. The people at the activity desk were also very helpful giving advice and arranging tours.

I would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to my friends. Aloha and Mahalo Embassy Suites!

Room Tip: We had a room right next to the elevator and ice machine, but never had any noise issues.

Great stay at the Embassy. The staff are friendly, service is efficient and excellent and the hotel is very clean, which was important for us since we were traveling with a young infant. We enjoyed the daily free breakfast, the complimentary in room wifi, and the free drinks/snacks/entertainment at the managers reception. The hotel is situated ideally just minutes from the beach, shopping and some excellent restaurants, whether you want fine dining or a casual meal. From the welcome drink, to the assistance with our luggage on departure, we were completely satisfied with our stay at the embassy and would highly recommend it.

This is truly a Hawaiian dream hotel. Beautiful rooms, excellent service with friendly and helpful staff. You also get great value for your money with a free cooked to order breakfast and daily managers reception with entertainment. The Grand Lanai boasts a very large pool with a kids pool area and hot tub as well. At night when the torches are lit and you lie on the lounge chairs watching the palm trees wave in the warm breeze and see the stars twinkling in the sky you feel like you are far, far away in a tropical paradise.

Room Tip: Hula Tower has better views of the beach, but if you are on the pool side it could be a bit noisy if...

I checked into the Embassy Suites Waikiki Beachwalk on Thursday, October 11 and this is by far the worst Hilton Property I have stayed at. The big japanese lady that checked me in that morning was just utterly unpleasant from the get go. Never did go out of her way to find a room when I got there, and told me to come back at 3pm for my room keys. Low and behold, she put my by the elevator on the first floor after waiting all day for this kind of room. Although I used my points for this stay, it doesnt justify why I get such bad service at check in and such a terrible room. I wished I could have given this experience a ZERO star because service is just not up to Hilton Venue Standards. Shame on you embassy for having these type of people representing your company.

Spent 4 days here with my wife - I normally list the good and the bad, but in this case everything was fantastic! We felt welcome and attended to from the moment we arrived. We received a "Welcome Drink" upon arrival, and were surprised with the upgraded corner room we stayed in (Balcony off both the Living Room and Bedroom). The room and bed were both very comfortable. Took advantage of the full daily breakfast every morning - great spread, and great cost savings! Also enjoyed the evening Manager's Reception and entertainment when we made it back in time. Location was absolutely perfect - short walk to Waikiki Beach, right on the Beach Walk (Bars, Restaurants, Shopping), and short drive to Island attractions. Staff was top notch, and all areas were very well maintained. An excellent value for where it is located, and what you receive - We will definitely be back again, Mahalo!!

Room Tip: Corner room if you can get it - you will not regret!
