“Interesting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2013

This is an interesting place one time you are on the busy street and turn a corner and you in a another place entirely with huge tree house stores. Kioshes are everywhere, small stores and large Tikis. There are many unique products, lots of handmade jewelry and crafts. The food court area isn't the cleanest but offers lots of Asian fare and smoothies of all kinds. It's truly and experience.

“Interesting to walk through, but keep on going!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2013

If you are looking for quality souvenirs or keepsakes to take back then look elsewhere. Honestly, I can't tell you what the prices were because I did not look. The souvenirs just seemed cheap no matter what you pay.

Before we took our vacation we watched some movies that were filmed in Hawaii. One of the movies was "Blue Hawaii" with Elvis Presley. The movie was filmed in 1963. Honolulu was much less commercialized, but I found it interesting that the International Marketplace was in a couple scenes. Elvis is being interviewed for a job in an office across the street from the marketplace. I wonder if the trinkets sold there were better quality and more authentic back then?

“souvenir heaven!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2013

If its souvenirs you want, this is the place to shop. Gold, silver, stainless steel and titanium jewellery everywhere, plus lots of pearls. Or if its hawaiian style clothing you want for a friend, buy up big. But dont pay the first price that is asked. Make sure you barter.

“Save your money, go to the swapmeet instead!!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2013

This place is horrible. Everything they have here you can get at the Stadium Swap meet (wednesday, saturday, sunday) for WAY less. If you cannot go to the swap meet (there are lots of shuttles that do it for $10-15 round trip) then I guess its ok, but seriously, dont waste your time or money. Once upon a time this was a really cool place, but not anymore.
Example a bracelet thats 8 dollars is a dollar at the swap meet, or tshirts at the swap meet are 7 for $20. bikinis $15. it goes on and on. No deals in that marketplace. its to bad.
