“Fun hike but muddy!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2013

We opted to hike up Manoa Falls instead of Diamond Head. I thoroughly enjoyed the greenery hike up and it was generally easy. Luckily I had a hiking stick to go downhill because parts of the trail was muddy and slippery. It's $5 to park in the lot and the convenience store sell water shoes, which I used instead of my Teva sandals.

“Great Hike, Lovely Scenery”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

The scenery is truly beautiful and we particularly like the Lost sets that were left there since filming (the polar bear cages and nursery). The falls weren't particularly flowing, but it still was beautiful. Wear good tennis shoes or hiking books, you'll need them. It is not a hike for the elderly or disabled, be prepared to work and sweat to get to the Falls, but very much worth it. Would definitely do this again.

“A mile of a lush rainforest”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

The trail to the waterfall is very muddy. Use a bamboo stick for support and dont wear your good shoes. You got to jump in the water when you get to the waterfall. So refreshing and fun. It is a very easy trail. I even saw a Mom with a young baby in a backpack child carrier. Love those parents!!!

“Amazing hike. Scenic and free!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2013

This hike was just awesome, fun and scenic. Take your time doing it and enjoy the views. Its not too long but there is adequate elevation on mud so dont wear your good shoes... or sandals. Its free to get it. You can get there from Waikiki or Ala Moana Center by The Bus for less than three bucks. If you leave around 8:00 you will be back by 1:00.

“Huge Waterfall”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013

The trail to get to the waterfall is very muddy so take a stick to help you walk and not fall. This is a short drive from Waikiki and I suggest you give it a try. The waterfall is beautiful and worth the walk.
