“Neighborhood Eatery in the Heart of Waikiki”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2007

Right behind the Hyatt Waikiki. We ate here several times on our last trip, and for quality, price and location, it is hard to beat. Noodles, pot stickers, and fried rice in a clean diner-style setting with a friendly staff. Popular with locals.

“The best ramen in Hawai'i!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2007

Atmosphere: Unkept & messy, but tables are clean.

Service: Quick & friendly. You usually get the loud greeting/leaving schpeel.

Food: Awesome. Shoyu ramen, gyoza & fried rice are to die for! Prices are excellent!

Stays open late (11p?)

“Wonderful Ramen Soup!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2005

(Waikiki location) This is a ramen-type noodle shop filled with Japanese tourists - even the menus were written in Japanese in addition to English. We had to wait about 15 minutes before we could get a table. In addition to the many noodle soups to choose from, they have fried rice, gyoza, and fried noodle dishes. Tony had the lunch special: Charsui ramen, which came with fried rice and 4 gyoza for $9. I believe my soup was close to $8. The lunch special was a great deal but there was no way I could eat all that food for lunch. $22 for our lunch and sodas. So glad I found this place.

“Japanese Noodles”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2005

The best pot stickers (gyoza) we have ever had. Saimin soup. The original shop opened in Tokyo 30 years ago. Behind the Hyatt in Waikiki. Inexpensive and they take the entertainment cupon. Local favorite.
