“Beautiful drive, great views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2013

The drive up Mt. Tantalus is beautiful with a rainforest feel. The views from Puu Ualakaa wayside are amazing. Go in the late afternoon to catch the sunset views. You can't see the sunset from there, but the cloud coloring and the light on the city is great. Stick around and watch Honolulu light up as night falls.

“Curvy road, awesome view.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013

If you're on Oahu, you have to drive up to the lookout just to take a bunch of pictures. You can see all of Waikiki and more from there

“Best Lookout on Oahu”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2013

Please do yourself a favor and take the Round Top/Tantalus Drive and stop at this lovely park. The lookout to Diamond Head and Honolulu is spectacular and makes for a great photo album cover page. This was well worth a 30 minute diversion.

“Great View”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

I agree with all the other reviewers, Great view. Set gps and it took me right to it in less time than I had thought. What do those homes on the side of the mountain do in a heavy rain?

“Beautiful”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2013

We decided to do this on our last day because we wanted to stay close to Honolulu for our afternoon flight home. It was not easy to find as the tripadvisor address was incorrect. Finally we asked around and found our way up. The road up was very beautiful and we stopped to take a few pictures.

When you enter the park, the road forks and you want to stay to the left to get to the look out point. It was raining up there, but still very beautiful. There was a covered area where people were hiding from the rain. We ran into the shelter and waited a bit. We decided that the rain was not going to stop, so when it slowed down a bit, we went out to the lookout point to take a few pictures. It was very much worth the effort. It is a beautiful view of the city.
