Owner description: Ko Olina Golf Club, one of Golf Digest’s “Top 75 Resort Courses in the U.S.” is a challenging 18-hole course built in 1990 by renowned golf course architect Ted Robinson. Typical of his designs, Ko Olina Golf Club features exceptional water features, multi-tiered greens, large landing areas, and a moderate length which makes it perfect for beginners and experts alike. The clubhouse design symbolizes all the aspirations of the resort. Approximately 35,000 square feet, the architecture is characterized by its tri-level design and Hawaiian pitched roofs. Broad overhangs and verandas give it an open atmosphere and provides golfers with spectacular views of the course and landscape. In addition to men’s and ladies’ locker rooms; each equipped with showers, steam rooms and Jacuzzis, the clubhouse includes a comprehensive golf shop, recently voted the top Resort Shop by the Retail Merchants of Hawaii.

“Solid Resort Course”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2011

This is Oahu's best "Resort Course". Well maintained, many manmade water features, and challenging from the TIPS.

My wife and I took a shuttle to play here. It was a beautiful course and the people here treated us like royalty. Very picturesque

“Beat the back-up, book an early tee time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2011

Wide open fairways means I should have had a chance of at least shooting par (yeah, right!). Unfortunately, my golf balls are attracted to water so they found their way into almost every pond along the way.

This is a beautiful course, but go early. We had a 7 am tee time. Lordy, that's early when you're driving from Waikiki, but totally worth it. It wasn't crowded at that time, but when we finished our round, you could see that the course was backed up. Who needs that kind of pressure on a par 3?

Electric carts with GPS and electronic scorekeeper, AND an ice chest with complimentary bottled water, souvenoir plastic cups and plastic tees.

The locker rooms are impressive with showers, hairdryers, and whirlpool. Restrooms on the course are also clean.

A nice cold towel greets you at cart return. The staff from bag check-in to cart return were excellent. A class act in my book.

“Great course for kids and if you get hungry”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2011

We played three days in a row. There is a 150 yard tee for the younger kids. If they get hungry, the GPS carts also allow you to order hot dogs and cheeseburgers at the 8th hole to pick up at the 9th. There are ample snack carts that approach. Bathrooms where kids need them. When you play the 18 holes, I even diverted the cart after the railroad tracks for a quick icecream treat. It really made playing with the kids a lot of fun! Now with that being said, you pay a lot of money and as an adult, you may not appreciate the family atmosphere, or the lack of ocean views. Instead, you get to see man made lakes with black beautiful swans. You get to have slow people ahead of you. There is the red marshall riding quickly to push those guys along. The marshall is really alert as each cart has a time and yellow means you are 9 to 12 minutes behind and red - well, the marshall is really on your tail then! The golf shop has very reasonable prices especially on sale items. They rent shoes, clubs, everything you need. The kids play free after 3pm. Can't beat that. Amazing juniors program for those aspiring kids. Lessons with Travis are awesome. The course management was great, the service amazing, there was nothing to complain about if you are there to have fun. Locker rooms have jacuzzi, sauna, showers.

“Longest round of golf for a decade”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2011

If you are going to this course don't expect to be taking less than 5 hrs. Poor management of golfers, 5 people groups, long delays at tee boxes. This is a nice course but management are taking your money and not looking after you while there. Really disappointed. Won't go there again but if you have plenty of time then I would recommend it.
