“Always a Winner!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2013

This is my parents' favorite restaurant and all our visitors, at some point during their visit with us, will dine at the Halekulani's "House Without a Key" restaurant. The setting is so relaxing -- you dine in the open air with a beautiful view and gracious, friendly staff. It's a "go to" place where you can go and know that you will receive courteous service, good food, and an atmosphere that allows you to savor your meal and enjoy the company you're with. The menu may not be as extensive as other places, but the offerings are of great quality and will no doubt satisfy a variety of palettes and preferences. You'll have a sampling of dishes to choose from-- fish, meat, chicken, salad, pasta, etc. Whether you're at "House Without a Key" for lunch or dinner, you will encounter an experience which will make you feel immediately like you're on vacation, or, for those lucky to live in Hawaii, very grateful to call Hawaii home. Your guests will be impressed that you took them there, and you'll be happy knowing you shared a great experience with your friends and family.

“Great coconut cake!”

This place is the perfect spot to enjoy drinks and dessert by sunset. You are right on the water with views of Diamond head. Great entertainment and the coconut cake is super delicious!

“excellent time sipping mai tais and watching the sun set”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2013

We walked over from our nearby hotel. Sat in the bar lounge to have cocktails and snacks while we listened to traditional Hawaiian music, watched a hula dancer, and caught the sunset. My Mai Tai was very good, as was my coconut shrimp. It's a lovely and romantic setting. Be prepared for steep prices, but it's no worse than many other places in Waikiki on the beach.

“Ending my trips here is now a tradition”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2013

The view, the staff, yummy drinks and potato chips. Sigh.
Miss it already. Have only been here in mid-afternoon, but everything has been consistently delightful.
