Its chefs pride themselves of bringing you the very best cuts of ocean-fresh fish: From tender, melt-in-your-mouth sushi and sashimi to broiled Maine lobster, grilled garlic shrimp and misoyaki butterfish. Odoriko's wide menu selection also includes hot pot entrees -- shabu shabu, sukiyaki, chanko nabe or seafood nabe --, chicken karaage, tempura, homemade tofu and delicious noodle dishes. The modern lights and relaxing setting at Odoriko will be just the ticket to get the night started with some of the best hot or cold sake.

“Sushi disappointment”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2013

On entering this restaurant, we had virtually NO help getting seated. Upon waiting to be served for numerous minutes, we finally were acknowledged. We made our order and our drinks came fairly promptly though our waters were never brought. My wife's pineapple drink was literally all ice and no juice. Our ordered sushi finally arrived and we found many crab shells in the soft crab rolls. They forgot our chop sticks, napkins and soya sauce so I had to hunt down these in the restaurant.

“Impressive. Reasonable price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2013 via mobile

Good food. Lobster was really good and great value. Salmon was the best we have tasted so far. Reasonably priced with excellent service. Restaurant was not to busy which was a nice change in Waikiki

“Very good Japanese menu”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2013

This mainstay of Japanese cuisine in Waikiki has flourished for more than four decades, so it seemed time to try it last March. We have eaten lunch here the past two trips to Waikiki, and each was very good, both in food quality and value. Last year, the kalbi was superb, and my wife enjoyed the hokke (mackerel). This year, my tempura udon was excellent, and my wife liked the Queen Bento box as well. Their chicken teriyaki was notably more like most restaurants' yakitori in flavor and juiciness, and the portion size was generous. We looked at the dinner menu, which was more varied but also looked markedly more expensive for teishoku.

“Waikiki's hidden gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2013

We were so pleasantly surprised on our first time eating at Odoriko's we decided to do my father-in-law's 90th birthday party there. We had 60 people and everyone agreed the food was plentiful and delicious. The wait staff was friendly, accommodating, and standing by to make changes or address any situation. And the prices were very reasonable, we highly recommend this restaurant. It's amazing that this restaurant has existed in Waikiki for so long and so many of our guests had never eaten there before. It's not just for tourist, great local find with wonderful food and service. So if you are visiting, or live in Hawaii it is good for two people or large groups, something for everyone.

“Great value Japanese”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2013

We were attracted to this resturant by the fairy lights on the verandah where we were lucky to get a charming table for four. The waiter provided a good description of the menu and good suggestions on the number of dishes needed. Other waiters were happy to take photos etc.
the food was served quickly and was delicious! Beautiful sushi, sashimi, mixed tempura and combination grill of chicken teriyaki and BBQ short ribs - a second order of the grill was needed :)
Price wise it was very good compared to other restaurants in waikiki.
