“Eating a spoonful of mayo, disgusting!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2013 via mobile

I got the mix plate. Pasta mix in mayo literally. Fried chicken and mahi mahi are disgusting. Bbq was ok. My son's chicken sandwich, chicken was pink. The tables are dirty. Family of 5 just gave up, none of us enjoyed it and just threw our food away.:(

“Local favorite”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

I just don't understand how an anonymous hole pours out food at that rate of speed. Its like there must be a genie who lives in there and the lady says, "boneless, 2 times" and the plates magically appear within seconds. It's a little freaky. But I'll eat their magical chili rice any day!

“Good Price, Lacked Smile and some Patience”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013

Definitely lots of options on the menu. And there was quite a crowd the over the lunch hour when we went, so it is a pretty popular place. Service was speedy, but not all that friendly... I get it... they were busy and we had questions.... sorry, but a smile would've gone a long way. Food was just ok. I had a portuguese sausage plate and hubby had a BBQ pork sandwich and fries. Should've gotten a shake like someone else suggested. That might have redeemed our lunch!

“local food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013

I grew up in Hawaii. This is one place you can still get local food. If you're a tourist in Waikiki, walk over to the Kapahulu neighborhood and have plate lunch. Chances are you will be able to smell the cooking as you get close. Be prepared to eat. I recommend the pork. Slow roasted with sauce. it melts in your mouth. I never eat pork in the mainland as it hasn't any flavor. This is different.

“Large portions and yummy food!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2013

Had the mahi mahi platter and received 3 large pieces of mahi mahi, macaroni salad and fries. The food was quickly prepared and delivered hot! Staff was friendly. Very popular spot for the locals.
