The service was impeccable, the atmosphere very nice but somehow it wasn't what we expected...
First thing my eyes were drawn to when we entered the restaurant was the kitchen... right in the front and open. The smell of seafood was so overwhelming in my opinion and it was a turn-off.
For starters we ordered the scallops and the ahi appetizers - both were very good. We decided on their special whole fried fish selection... I thought it was just OK, my husband thought it lacking in flavor and didn't really care for it or the accompanying sides.
They did have a very extensive wine list, which being a wine buff, my husband very much enjoyed!
I can't pinpoint why it wasn't what I expected... but for starters, I thought it would have a view of the water or some "lanai type" seating. We went on a night that was a bit chilly and somewhat drizzling so do not know if that played a role on it feeling so closed in.
It was pricey and we don't mind if we would have been "wowed" but unfortunately, that just wasn't the case!
