“Tasty Thai”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2013

We had heard that the food was good, and wanted to give it a try since our group were all fans of Thai food. The place was busy, but we were seated quickly. I had the Panang curry, and it was quite good, and the portion was generous, enough to take home for lunch the next day. Oddly, rice is "extra" and is an additional charge, although you do get a choice of white or brown which is nice. Our server was friendly, but busy, and my iced tea never arrived. The meals are priced reasonably for Waikiki and the decor is pleasant. Overall it was a nice experience and I would eat there again.

“this is not authentic Thai food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2013

Since we live in Asia we often travel to Thailand and enjoy Thai food a lot.
We heard about this place and were anxious to try "real" Thai food. We ordered a mix of dishes (Tom Yum soup, Papaya salad, curry, noodles....), but none were really convincing but also not "bad". We just expected more.
Service was friendly and attentive. The tables are placed very close to each other and if there are some "loud mouthes" around you can not overhear those.
The restaurant was full and it advisable to make a reservation.
We will not return !

“Interesting Thai Food in Honolullu”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013

We walked to Keo's from our hotel on a busy Sunday night. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. We had a seat by the open window, and the table was pleasant. The decor, with its pictures of visiting celebrities, is a bit dated (I don't think Imelda Marcos counts as a celebrity anymore, if she ever did) but the restaurant makes good use of space, and none of the tables feel crowded or unpleasant.

The star of the meal was an appetizer soup, a coconut ginger broth full of tasty white chicken portions. It was really delicious. The Panang curry was also delicious, just the right amount of heat in a luscious curry sauce, with chicken and peas. The portions were large enough to take home for a second meal and still not leave hungry. The other entrees at our table were a little more uneven. The ginger beef was unremarkable, and the shrimp in peanut sauce had a delicious sauce, but the shrimp were overcooked and rubbery.

We were surprised to be charged extra for rice at the meal, especially when ordering curry. I would expect to be charged extra for ordering seconds of rice, or rice for takeout, but to be charged for rice in addition to a curry entree is seldom done, and was a bit unsettling. On the other hand, the restaurant is not expensive by Honolulu standards, and the nominal charge did not make that much of a difference.

Our waiter was pleasant, but he was better at picking things up than delivering them. We had to ask for chopsticks, as well as our beverages, and an ice tea order was never delivered. Overall the restaurant was pleasant, and convenient to Waikiki.

“Not a return visit!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2013 via mobile

We asked for hot dishes as we love that Thai heat especially in a tropical climate. Alas it was all very bland and the meal was not up to expectations. The shrimps remained on the plate but the evil jungle curry was tasty enough although not memorable. The service was good but the prices were not good value. Wouldn't bother to go again.

“Bug in my food, over-priced, mediocre food”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2013

The food, including Evil Jungle Prince, was mediocre at best. The service was not good either. We found a large dead insect with wings in the rice. When we brought it to the waiter's attention, he offered us a small scoop of ice cream....
