Description: Top of Waikiki offers one of the most amazing views on earth; unforgettable sunset views, an endless expanse of turquoise blue surf and world famous waikiki beach. The view is matched by Executive Chef Lance Kosaka's Hawaii Regional Cuisine, where he presides over a kitchen dedicated to freshness, quality and is a strong supporter of infusing as much locally grown produce and fresh fish into our award-winning menu.

“Wonderful ending to Oahu vacation”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2014 via mobile

We made a same day reservation for a 6:00 seating. My husband and I shared the Caesar salad. Then he had the 12 oz steak and garlic mashed potatoes. I had the crab cake appetizer and a side of garlic mashed (we could easily have shared one order of potatoes and saved ourselves $7). We each had a drink which were generous. We chose not to have our photo taken by the photographer ($15 to purchase). Be aware there is a dress code of no beachwear. The elevator goes to the 17th floor and then there are two steep escalators to the 19th floor. The view is a constant source of conversation and delight. A lovely evening.

“Restaurant Option”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2014

Very nice restaurant with a breathtaking, 360 degree view if Diamond Head and great service from the hostess to the servers and runners. The chorizo nacho appetizer was great in taste with a savory & sweet taste with a slight heat kick which made it even better not to mention the great presentation. The guava bbq style ribs were sweet, moist and meat falling off the bones which was just what I wanted in a rib appetizer.

However the coconut shrimp with pineapple salsa appetizer was very disappointing from the quantity of shrimp to the slight covered coconut batter covering the shrimp made it very difficult to even taste the coconut due to the lightly covered batter. The shrimp aren't really coconut shrimp but appear to be more of shrimps dusted with coconut. The mango creme brûlée wasn't at all creamy and the lime compote overwhelmed the plate. One last thing if you don't allow beach attire please uphold everyone to the dress attire. Because we say several other customers in beach attire which irritated me cause we went to our hotel and changed clothes.

“Your kids will love it”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2014

I took my family of 5 to the Top of Waikiki for dinner. The menu had a good selection and the kids menu was solid as well. Everyone enjoyed their meals and drinks. The real point for us choosing to visit this restaurant was to take in the view. The restaurant slowly rotates which gives it's customers a complete 360 degree view of Waikiki. The view is fantastic and we timed our dinner for sunset. A total rotation takes about an hour. My kids loved it as did my wife and I.

“Great way to end the holiday ! ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2014

This was a last minute choice , but they got us a table . We went for the sundown menu , which I would recommend as it's around half the price of the main menu and you benefit from the view in light and dark . Kids menu and kids cocktails were a grazer choice and very nicely presented . I had steak and prawns and husband had the pork , both very nice and cooked well . To finish we all shared a fondue . Will go back on next visit .

“A disappointing room with a view”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2014

This is one of those places you take the kids to see a restaurant revolve, or for high schoolers on prom night, not for any sort of overwhelming culinary experience. That said, the food was spotty but actually very good in places. The service was unmemorable, however, and the surroundings were leaning toward shabby in that built-in-the-70s-and-never-remodeled way. The thing that stood out to us, and not in a good way, was the lady who greeted us at the entrance. In this friendly land of "mahalo," she was outright surly, and led us to think she might need a remodel, as well. The main thing we took away from the experience was the rotating 360 view of Honolulu and Waikiki. As noted, that's really the point anyway.
