Owner description: The 44-ft. Maita`i Catamaran takes off three times daily to sail the beautiful waters fronting the world’s most famous beach, Waikiki. Aside from incredible views and the exhilaration that comes with being on the ocean, the smooth riding twin-hulled rig serves up adult libations for passengers who are of age.

“Excellent time on the water!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2014

At the last minute my friend and I decided to give the Maita'i a try and we had a blast! We went out on the 3pm afternoon sail and enjoyed every minute of the sail. Clary the Capt and Lindsay, his assistant, we're welcoming, fun and made it a great time. There were calm moments mixed with some serious waves and slashes of water. Beautiful photo opportunities and decent drinks made for a nice time. I highly recommend the Maita'i next time your in Hawaii looking for something to do on the water! I hope to check out their sunset cruise soon too!

“Affordable snorkel cruise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2014

We were after a snorkel cruise but didn't want to blow the budget. Maita'i Catamaran didn't disappoint. Crew were very friendly. Got to see a bunch of see turtles at their cleaning station which was fantastic. The snorkelling area was a bit basic and pretty crowded with a few other boats stopping in the area. We had to hire our own flippers as they only provided goggles and snorkels.
A pack of cheetos fell in the water and to their credit, the crew navigated the boat to pick it up. Overall everyone was happy at the end of the day.

“A relaxing way to spend the morning.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2014

I've taken this trip a few times because my parents love it. If you are a novice snorkeler who wants a short trip to definitely see turtles, this is great. If you want to show turtles to your kids in a safe, non-threatening way, this is a nice family trip. If you're an unlucky snorkeler who has hunted all around Oahu for turtles and they have managed to evade you every time, you'll for sure get them here.

However, if you've spent time snorkelling around Hawaii before, you've probably seen turtles in more interesting underwater environments and you might be a bit disappointed because compared to many other snorkelling areas there isn't much going on aside from the guaranteed turtles and most people just kind of hover around a small area for 30 minutes. But even if that's the case, how disappointed can you really be when you're in the ocean with such lovely animals? Plus, you often see whales breeching after the snorkelling.

It's a nice sail, the crew is great (it's not an "everyone say Aloha!" type of group), the sandwiches are tasty, and it's well-priced. They supply equipment if you don't have your own and I was pleased to see that they offer both life vests and noodles.

“Unlimited Mai Tai's”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2014

This cruise was pretty cool - we got to see Diamond Head and the island from a different perspective being out on the water looking back at it. The sunset was very nice that night luckily even with an impending storm that caused us to alter our cruise path a bit.

Got a groupon deal for family of 4 figure nothing to lose, It had good reviews. The captain and a young woman was great..We saw one turtle coming back. If we come back to waikiki..We definitely will do it again..It's right outside of the sheraton hotel..Booking was easy I just mention my code from my coupon and told her the time and it's done.
