“Feb 2012 Great experience...Feb 2013 Poor experience”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2013

This restaurant is located on the first level of the Aqua Palms Waikiki Hotel.
In 2012, we spent all of February in the hotel and ate every breakfast, some lunches,
and some dinners here. February 2013 was a different experience. Our adult daughters
joined us and the first evening meal one daughter ordered the Soup of the Day but they were out. Sshe then ordered fresh fruit, and they were out. She ended up with pancakes.I requested an order of Sourdough toast and was informed they only had one slice of sourdough
The next morning - which was our last visit to this restaurant - Our daughter ordered their menu item of oatmeal, brown sugar and nuts - they were out of nuts! Servers Cullen and Aria were prompt and courteous but the kitchen was extremely slow in getting the orders out.

“Good Service But....”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2013

Food and service was great and the location was excellent because it offered cheaper alternatives. The downside was that there were small bugs crawling around my booth. I know its the tropics, I lived here before and will be moving back but I know that pest can be controlled in the restaurants.

“Terrible bacon”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2013

We ate breakfast here and the pancakes are typical IHOP but the bacon had a bad taste. It was poor quality even for the price. The service was ok but nothing memorable. There is a much better breakfast place down the street.

“Three days in a row”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2013 via mobile

By myself with 3 kids while the hubs does some work. The kids loved the Keiki menu. The rest of the menu is typical iHop but a bit pricier since it is on Waikiki. I didn't find it outrageous, though. First morning our bill was $28 and the next morning I ordered some additional fruit for one of the kids so my bill was about $32.

We are staying at the Hilton Hawaiian Village and it is super convenient. In hindsight I wish we had made the short walk while staying at the Hale Koa instead of eating at their Koko Cafe.

I really appreciated the healthier options. You can substitute for turkey bacon, egg whites, or egg substitute for a nominal fee. They also have a decent selection of healthier options.

The wait varied everyday. Today they were super busy and we waited 25 minutes to be seated. Our server today wasn't that great either, but the previous two days we had great service and we were seated fairly promptly.
